You’re feeling fatigued, you’re snapping at your family or at your friends. You’re so tired… and you want to sleep! …then when bedtime comes you’re wide awake. You could be suffering from a sleep disorder. Staying awake at night at one time or another is often considered very common. . If you’re having a problem sleeping or staying asleep you might be one who’s experiencing insomnia.
I’ve been adventuring into learning again, and I found some interesting facts about sleep disorders. These small researches have been most rewarding to me. The best reward, I have opportunity to experience sharing with you thoughts and facts of what I ‘m discovering. I found I’ve learned a lot more in the importance of passing it forward. I’m not claiming to be an expert, only providing some useful information that may be helpful to some of you,
There are 40 million people who have some kind of sleep disorder. I found that some sleep disorders are caused by stress, or worries. Other sleeping patterns are brought on by medications, some by noises and or overeating. The source I used stated that these are the frequent signs of insomnia:
Difficulty getting to sleep (taking more than 45 minutes)
Frequent awakenings with inability to fall back to sleep.
Early morning awakening.
Feeling very tired after a night of sleep.
These are only a few tidbits of information I found. There was so much more.
I also, found that many people suffer from disorders such as Sleep Apnea where a person discontinue breathing during sleep, RLS Restless Leg Syndrome where your legs are constantly moving around and waking you, and Snoring Apnea which is common among snorers who stop in the middle with a long silence before catching their breath.
Some of these sleep disorders need medical attention, and the more chronic the symptoms, the sooner you should visit your doctor. There are sleep aids over the counter, but many of them can become additive. You want to make sure you are getting enough sleep, and that part of wellness can make you feel a whole lot better. Well, since I wrote this rather quickly, I’m getting a little sleepy. Sometimes I wake up during the night, but I usually don’t have much trouble falling back to sleep. I’m hoping you’re sleeping well. How are you sleeping these nights? (Smiles)
