Although Joe the Plumber is really Sam the Contractor, he is not Charles Keating’s grandson. Although Richard M. Wurzelbacher is Keating’s son-in-law, he is not the same Richard M. Wurzelbacher of Cincinnati, OH (although Keating is from Ohio). However, they may be related in some other manner, how many Wurzelbachers can there be?
Far more interesting though is the fact that Joe is really Sam, he is not a plumber, he is not an Independent but a registered Republican, he is a tax cheat and has 2 tax liens filed against him and he was known to the McCain campaign for a long time as he has spoken on various right-wing talk radio shows. I don’t think anyone sees the fact that he confronted Senator Obama in the street and grilled him with McCain talking points and Fox News just happened to be there as a coincidence.
In addition, he has admitted today on national TV that he does not have the money to buy that business and that he would benefit from Obama’s tax plan. He also said that he doesn’t believe in Social Security, that Iraq is a great war and various other oddities. I don’t think we will be hearing much more from him.
Sorry for the “Confirmation” email. I had the info this morning but waited until a news organization printed it before I sent it out. It turns out they were duped too. Part of the confusion stemmed from the fact that Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher is registered to vote as Worzelbacher by mistake. By mistake????? I don't think so.
