THE CHRISTMAS TREE
I conducted The Christmas Tree survey.
Speaking with only Black American Men and Sons in Memphis-- I asked:
ARE YOU PUTTING UP THE CHRISTMAS TREE?
This is what Black Men and Sons in Memphis said to this question:
In this survey I asked Black men and their sons about putting up the Christmas Tree. I must admit I felt a little surprised. About 95% percent of the men and sons said they were delited in putting up the Christmas Tree and lights as well. The other 5% said they would leave it to the wives or their mates to put it up. Now that says very much to me because I like to see the men and sons work up the Christmas Tree from top to bottom. This survey didn't pinpoint if the tree was real or artificial, but I'll save that for another survey. Good job!!

Speaking of sons and men putting of the tree... my son got his dad to put the tree up 2 weeks ago after I brought him back from a tree lighting festival in the city. He (son) was so eager and excited after getting back that he got his dad to do the honor of putting the tree and lights up...something that if I'd tried to ask him would have been like pulling teeth. I say as long as it gets the job done~~ let the men and boys do it!
