I was the youngest of 4 children and raised on the southside of chicago. I had a bit of a troubled youth. I never met my biological father but my real father has been with my mother since I was born. Yes, I meant real father. When I was a child I didn't do well in school I realized, later on in life, after being a class clown for years, that I just wasn't challenged enough. I took a love for music in my junior year in high school. Instead of college, I moved to Atlanta to become a bigtime music producer. That didn't quite work out so I decided to start a newspaper publication. Shortly after I began the publication I rekindled an old relationaship with a girl from highschool who is now my wife. She was in Chicago and I was in Atlanta so I made a tough decision to move home and be with her even though my publication was up for its first printing. We got married 6 months later and had our son 6 months after our marriage. I studied hard and got my Loan Originator's License. Now, I work for one of the largest privately own mortgage banks and I love it. Within the last few years I developed a close relationship with God and became a youth leader at my church. I give back as much as I can. I love my wife and son so much, he teaches me way more than I teach him. I am a happy father, husband, chistian and mortgage professional and even though I have struggles just like the next man, I stay strong, think positive and always know that I will overcome all obstacles and I always do. I still have dreams of having a career in media and I plan on getting into it in the near future. I am only 28 so I still have time to make my impact on the world. This is my life wrapped up in 30 seconds.
I want to live a righteous life and influence as many people as I can by being a good example. One of my dreams is to place myself in the position to be able to give plenty to the community and church. I plan to begin a career in media, I have a unique interest in journalism. I want to use my talent for the good of Afican-American people and Christians. There is so much negative press about us and we are to blame. Its always a black person on TV dogging out black people and making us look inadequate. I am not saying we should ignore the negative things that are going on in our community but I refuse to believe that any talk show will fix these issues. We need more people creating solutions. I would like to begin an organization that deals with this directly. Providing ways for us to overcome the problems we face and also supplying more fortunate people an outlet to reaching out to lower income families and communities and lend a hand.
I just joined the Positive Black Fathers group. Show me some love! ...more

Why Are You Concerned About Black America:
I am more concern that we are losing that brotherhood that we used to have. We are lossing the connection we use to share with each other. We, as a whole, were known for our brotherly love. I miss that. I am also concerned about the negative press we receive from our own people. What hurts the most is that people are so quick to get on air and make the most ignorant statements for the whole world to see. Including but not limited to, Bill Cosby. You don't see White America on tv dogging out there own and they have all the same problems we have. They have videos that are degrading to women, they have low income families, fatherless children, drop outs and drug attics just like us. The difference in my opinion is that they dont focus on the negative. We have to remember that what ever we put on the air waves is going to be broadcast to the world. Some time you have to ask yourself, before you spread to the world, "Is this going make us look bad?" "Is there a way I can help this situation without broacasting it?"
