Don't get brother or else the disrespectful neighbors will win....Dr. King never got tired till the day they thought finishing him off but Barack is holding the candle Mr. Harold. i was reading on BBC a political anylist blog, he he said something that struck me, the race issue is real that on Nov 4th, the racism is going to appear in voting booth....it sounds true but i disagree? I believe in GOD and he choose Barack to be next president of United states of America period.

Thanks for sharing love on my page. That is funny how you mentioned about me being a sociologist. I majored in the field as an undergrad and have yet to work a day in the subject matter. I mostly work in business and received my graduate degree in that area. Although, that doesn’t change the fact that sociology was definitely the best. I was at a point in my life that I was pursuing areas that provided more financial sustainability. Sociology didn’t fulfill that goal.
All that to say that my opinion of the question you asked me 'why do blacks continually rank low on the statistics compared to other races' is based on a personal perspective and not as a sociologist. When you try to identify the causes of low stats amongst people of African Descent, I don't think you have to go as far as identifying relevance by linking it to the bible and we being descendents of Canaan. Statistics are a way to determine a trend or event but it no ways should be looked at as an absolute truth. Statistics are also based and judged by the society norms. If you fall out of the norms of the mainstream society (in which many times we do) it can misconstrue a truth. Also statistics can be manipulated just as when someone quotes a scripture from the bible. It can used to fit their need. However, we can use statistics to identify a problem area that may need to be addressed, but I wouldn’t use it as a be-all-end-all to identify some genetic or historic pre-disposition.

I think your the first person on here that we accept each other opinions and views. I feel that to make it in the world you have to have money to have a good education. There are many people that are living low class, working pay check to pay check, living in poverty and there are kids of all races that don't have the same opportunities as rich people do of all races.

Nah, money is disposable. I would rather drop knowledge, than a doller.. being I dont have money to give! lol. I do believe that would do more good then money anyway. I mean, alot of African-Americans turn they`re nose up at others because they simply are I dont know.. I keep wanting to say afraid? but I cant stick to that. People have they own issues, nobody wants to deal with anyone elses.. If we got out of that method of thinking.. we`d be alot better off.

I will answer the logic vs emotion question this way(if this reply gets through to you this try) I have spent the past 50 years going up against the legal system in an effort to fight , like say, the FCC. Is logic or emotions accepted by the courts? will show you what I mean about courts later, O.K?
In other words my" brother), I (your new "sister"-smile)am never with out facts to back up what I say to you or to anyone else.

I am in total agreement and when we come together it must be intentionally to develop a plan of action to systematically start building or rebuilding a strong, intelligent and affluent community. I have tried forming alliances, creating a website and speaking out on every occasion that I am given to grow that community and increace that awareness. I believe the seed of awareness is already planted. We must continue cultivating and nurturing it less the weeds of indifference and the thorns of self-gratification choke the life out of the seedling and destroy the dream. I remain encourage, however, for as long as the dialog continue; hope is yet alive. I continue to pray that the ties that binds us together (who we are as a black people) will forever be stronger that devices of intolerance that separates us (light skinned, black skinned, christian, muslim, gay, straight, educated, illiterate, bourgeois, ghetto, and the list goes on ad infinitum).
