Your Most Memorable Moment reminds me of when I was in college, I spent many hours sitting alone in the financial aid office. I guess most other students in my undergraduate college could afford to be there. In those days, I learned how to ask for and then patiently wait for money to come my way. I'd walk in asking, "Did anybody drop out today? 'Cause I can use their financial aid money!" Fortunately, with financial aid and a few part-time jobs, enough money did come my way and I made it through college. Regarding your interview question, I think the economy is a pressing issue that influences relationships between black men and women. We're challenged to do more with less money and, in some cases, do less in order to have more money at the end of the month. It's hard enough to do that when you're on your own, not to mention having a date, spouse, or children to consider. But, with every challenge comes opportunity. We have the opportunity to add value to everything we have in our hand and to everyone we have in our life. As we appreciate people and things, our college degrees become jobs, jobs become careers, careers turn into businesses, and businesses evolve into real wealth that we can share with people with whom we've nurtured and cultivated loving relationships. Whuuuuuut? Let me get this right? You attended the "Dean". You are saying that UT shouldn't overtake TSU. And you want me to speak at your conference?
Where do I sign? LOL.
You're right we need HBCU's and we need them to thrive.
Provide me with information regarding your workshops or speaking engagements and we'll dialogue. Thank you for being a part of the movement.
