Obesity is at an all time high, especially in the Black community. Just walk down the street or visit a church on Sunday and you will see the manifest evidence of our ignorance of dietary laws.
The epidemic of Obesity is really seen among our women where 70% are over weight, and it's not do to big bones. An overweight mother usually means an overweight child.
What does this mean, how will it affect the future of Black America? It means we are literally eating ourselves into extinction. Centuries of eating a slave diet called: Soul Food and now denatured, nutrient deficient Frankenfoods (
http://www.tierramerica.net/2003/1004/ilos... ) and fast foods are leading us to an early grave. Those who live are losing the ability to even reproduce because of the dyes, preservatives and hormones injected in the foods. Pills now take the place of passions.
What is the answer? We have to become more educated and informed on the science of How To Eat To Live. Our months keep us here but many are digging an early grave with their month because they are not about to control their appetite.
Forsake the slave diet called soul food, stay away from fried foods, let's take the time to prepare the proper foods for our body and eat at the proper time. Remember, every deed has a consequence, one of the worst consequences of eating improperly is the condition our bodies are in later in life and the cost of medical bills.
