Immaturity and lack of cognizance is how this country functions politically and perhaps if there was intelligence, and awareness, MLK, wouldn't have gone down, Bobby Kennedy and his brother would not have been taken out. Ignorance is the weakness of the oppressed. It appears some people understand government and some people don't. Apparently the ignorance here is that there is a lack of awareness of the millions of words blogged everyday by whites talking about the very same things that people who want everything to be rosey are complaining about. So let me understand this..Black folks are just supposed to sit and let it happen? not a chance, not on MY watch..maybe on yours. Extremely sophomoric, uninformed and politically immature.
Sure from the time Reagan won I tuned out. I supported Ross Perot and not Bill Clinton, then I tuned out again. But this is a new day and I am going to make it my sure enough business to learn all I can so when my President speaks I can understand where he is coming from and support him.
The day of the happy sambo IS OVER!! start acting like the educated young whites that got him into office in the first place. 36 million votes 12 %^ black. Now you got the figures in black and white, do the math. Did he need the black votes? Think about it. And history shows that plotters have drawn diagrams, and I guess in order to "scope" buy guns and do diagrams there were people "talkin bout it."
If I was part of a white subversive group on this network, I would have you exactly where I want you, intellectually dead. When I talk to my kids, specially my 19-year old college student, it fascinates me on how ignorant she is..but the young whites that I rode to Ohio with for the campaign , understood POLITICS. That's why I love to go to the Mosque of the Nation of Islam when I can, so I can sit with thousands of other highly politicized and informed Black Queens and Kings.
In hundreds of Black History books the depiction of the Negro slave, as a pickaninny ,dancing, happy go lucky SURVIVOR has been written by Black American authors. To me it hurts, because it is the process used to survive in a hostile environment. It is precisely this awareness, that reminds me that we no longer have to be the happy negro.( Well I never was- they would have killed me on the Plantation, for sure.)
I have a strong sense of pride and self-determination .
Not everyone, is going to rise up and take their rightful place in society just because there is Black leadership. But some perhaps never really thought about it. Suppose all along Blacks were the ruling class in America? would the mirror reflect what is apparent now? Just thinking.
For some reason I wanted to add this, women as warriors: I still like all things feminine , beautiful and having fun:
We are talking here about "awareness." "preparedness" " vigilance." So if some men feel a little uncomfortable well, that's your problem.
We are the Goddessess of the World!
