Now more than ever, success in the world economy begins at the schoolhouse door. A good education is critical for being able to live one's dreams. Moreover,attracting and growing good jobs here at home relies on having a highly educated, skilled workforce,
That's why we must start investing in our people as soon as we can by giving, every child a world-class eduction--in science, math, English, history,civics, and the arts.
As Presiden,Mr.Obama will make a historic commitment to our children's education. He will set high standards and improve accountability --and give our schools the resources they need to meet those standards. He will recruit, prepare, retain, and reward a generation of new teachers.
He will encourage additional learning time in schools and double funding for after school programs to serve one million more kids.
He will invest in zero-to-five early childhood education so that more children will have the best start they can at learning and life.
