Beale Street--MEMPHIS TN
01.01.2009--MIDNIGHT
Thousands of Memphians were downtown on the famous Beale Street last night to ring in the New Year, or should I say drop it in! Memphis celebrated the coming of 2009 with it's First Guitar Drop. The Hard Rock Cafe hosted this beginning of an annual event. The Gibson Guitar Drop came tumbling down right in the middle of the Beale Street crowd as Memphis shouted out Happy New Year! The large guitar could be seen tumbling down and gently landing to the ground. The crowd was totally "strung" It was loads of fun, and the crowd enjoyed the celebrations without any reported incidents of mishaps.

NASHVILLE, TN 12.31.2009
A local resident of Nashville decided she wanted a baby, walked into the hospital and took a baby from it's mother. The woman, Adrienne Johnson was dressed in hospital uniform told the mother she needed to take the baby's temperature. Heading toward the door the baby's arm band tripped the alarm and security immediately stopped her for stealing the infant. The woman surrendered without conflict. It was reported earlier this same week the woman was stopped from shoplifting a baby carriage at a local Nashville store.
