All Social Security recipients will get a $250.00 stimulus check in late May,2009. (3555 hits)

If your family elders are receiving Retirement benefits or persons you know are on SSI? please pass the good news!

That's 55 million times 250.00= any takers? so there goes a big part of the budget. The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 will issue this one time payment.

$250.00 beats a blank,that's my 2 cents!

this is only a temporary fix. i work with a home-based business to help with extra income. i'm hoping people will look more into this type of income which is ongoing and self created. i suggest they look into the quixtar.com and read the information for starting a business. this country was built for those who go into their own business.

Hi Stephen, How are you? certainly you have read Marxist writings? Madison's Federalist Papers? we live in a Democracy, and as a Cuban I can attest that the mindset that we all live a certain lifestyle, adhere to the same dogmas is very dangerous to freedom. May I gently remind you that the measure of a society is how it takes care of it's elderly? Retirement benefits are for those who toiled and paid into the account either they worked for someone else or they had their own businesses.

A person on SSI? could be a paraplegic or a mentally ill person. Knee jerk reactions with that "I am bettter than thou " are very misinformed. This country was built for those who go into their own businesses? what cockamamie position is that? You sound like my ultra right Cuban family.

This is only one of the bills of the Recovery Act--it will probably do you well to READ the document, specially the part on small businesses. Jumping to conclusions without making the EFFORT to educate and inform one's self results in statements,that indicate the level of understanding of the speaker.

I recommend you read,"Change We Can Believe In" President's Obama outline--if you don't want to read the whole Recovery Act. Have a NICE day!!

Let's get on the same page:This country was built so that the citizenry could enjoy religious freedom and a right to self-determination.
