Black Youth Producing Positive TV programs. (706 hits)

Greeting Brothers and Sisters,

May this message find you in the best of health and high spirits.

My name is Steve Muhammad and I am the president of Knowledge for LIFE (http://know4life.blogspot.com), a non-profit 501c3 organization. Our mission is to bring relevant news, information and life enhancing projects to Black and disadvantaged communities via multimedia (TV, Radio and Internet).

This summer, Knowledge for LIFE is collaborating with Dayton’s Access TV station (http://DATV.org) and local schools to host a Summer Camp that will teach and train our youth, ages 14-17, skills in multimedia. They will learn various elements of producing a TV program such as; how to operate a video camera, lighting, graphics, sound levels as well as other important elements of TV production.

After the students complete the summer program, they will begin to produce a monthly one hour TV program that will address issues that affect the youth; health, male/female relations, how to become an entrepreneur and more.

Needless to say these skills are invaluable in a technology base economy. The youth will be able to take these skills and apply them to higher education, in seeking employment or starting their own video/editing business.

Help Knowledge for LIFE make a difference in the lives of our young people by giving a generous, tax deductible donation of $5, $10, $100 or more. Every dollar is appreciated and will go toward feeding, transporting, and purchase up-to-date equipment.

Last, you know as well as I do that Black faces are lacking in mainstream media. Our story in not being told and our voice is not being heard. Let’s work together to change that condition. Please donate today through our secure Paypal Account!!!
