More people got together on Saturday, May 29, 2009 with The 20th Annual Italian Fesival. This festival is attended by more than 30,000 people. The highlight of the festival is Italian food and games and culture. There are competion catergories as well in Cooking, The Powder Room and Decorating. Saturday gave visitors beautiful weather as temperatures were in the low 90's. Music, fun and lots of people got togeher! Proceeds for the festival help fund Holy Rosary Parish School.
I bet they like singing that More we get together song at that school!....

Gays and supporters held a rally yesterday, where the MORE them got together to urge the Shelby County Commissioners to pass an ordinance to protect their rights in job discrimination. Hundreds of people including local religious and gay right groups rallied in from of The First Congregational Church at 1 p.m. to make sure they are granted an equality of job hiring/firing and protected by the ordinance. The agenda may need a overhall as to secure that gays and homos*xuals are not presented with job discrimnation because of their s*xual preferences. The ordinance will be presented on today's agenda at the Shelby CountyCommissioners meeting. The supporters want action that will help cover them in the future for job security rights.

The Republic Women of Purpose will have a general meeting and luncheon on Wednesday, June 03, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. The luncheon and women will discuss in more detail ways to improve their Republican Party awareness. Guest speaker for the luncheon will be Judge Holly Kirby with the Tennessee Court of Appeals, Western District. Location for the lunch will be at The Ridgeway Country Club 9800 Poplar Avenue. Luncheon is subjected members only; or to an admission fee.
I just want some MORE. I wonder what's on that lunch menu?

Offenders of the law found their way to doing community service work this weekend. To avoid have MORE jail time, they got together to clean up trash in Memphis neighborhoods. Lawless as it was, they picked up, raked up and bagged trash in South Memphis (Parkway and South Third Street) and in North Memphis areas. A spokeman that led the group of juvenile and adult offenders kept them busy with plenty to pick up! Judges sentenced them to do community service to keep them away from jails and lockups to teach them a life of crime will lead them to a way to clean up their acts by cleaning up the town!
Bring them some MORE! That's the kind of together we need!

That old gas pump is beginning to cost MORE. In the last few weeks, or days you'll begin to notice the price of that gas rising up MORE. Presently, here in Memphis-- the last highest price I saw was $2.39 for a gallon of regular gas! All I did was drive down the street just taking a short trip, and came back! Going it was $2.33 coming back it was $2.39. "I think I'll remain parked at home and see what happens."
I'll surely save on gasoline that way!

If you want to save MORE today, you'll be able to ride the public transportation for only 25 cents. It's today only which they are encouraging MORE people to save gas, and protect the ozone layer too! Today's weather will have dangerous ozone rays with hot temperatures and driving your cars can increase it to even worse. So park the car-- and jump on the bus! The MORE the merrier! I haven't ever seen that price for a bus ride!
