The convention members growth is set at ab average of 7.5 million members. This brings a boost in the Memphis economy and to Memphis businessess. Both Mayors, Memphis and Shelby County are looking forward to keeping Memphis on their visit maps before opening up and are not look at any ways to they'll shut them out.

Please watch your step on the way out remember at:

M.A.T.A (Memphis Area Transit Authority)
ALL RED TAG SALES ARE SUBJECTED TO BE FINAL

Will doors of the selected routes offered by The Memphis Area Transit be shut? The public transit system are looking for ways to lower cost of it's budget by shutting routes to Germantown and Collierville areas. Many of the cuts include the door-to-door pickups of MATA PLUS. These services will discontinue for disabled riders who are blind or handicapped. MATA spokespersons officals say that the problem is not offering the service, but offering it with so few users. Cutting the service in these designated areas will save the transit system about $1 million dollars annually. Before the doors will be shut MATA has scheduled two public hearings on these proposals before voting. The first hearing is on July 28, 2009 at Central Station, and the other on July 30, 2009 at the Benjamin Hooks Library. Discussions will also include fares and possible scheduled route changes. Presently, 10 buses are used in the MATA Plus routes to Germantown an Collierville. Many Memphians who ride the public transit are not at all pleased with the cuts, and feel the transit system in Memphis has never been greeted with open arms of meeting the needs of it's riders. The routes are not shut out until the votes are in, there is still a chance for enough votes to keep the bus services open.

To All Store Employees please check your areas and return all items to their proper departments before you shut down your own departments.

I think this is excellent news!

I hope the transit system will be saved, because that won't be good for people who have been using it to get to and fro.
