National News
The past week's town meetings across the country were on the health reform proposals of President Obama met many cities and towns banging their heads.
Many are in opposition of the reform of the health care plans. Congress men and met in with yelling and disarray as townfolk felt left out when it came to voicing what they want! Some town meetings were disrutpted and disorderly. President Obama also conducted town meetings, but most of the head banging crowd were left outside to tottle their speeches to the wind. Waving signs and protesting changes of reform to head out the door. Citizens brawled their voices and met with government officials at many town meetings. Some cried, some were angry! Some listented and well had head to head arguments. Although the reform health care packages have not been passed. Rumors are flowing like headstorm! People are not been fully told what the packages of reform are containing and relying on rumors and gossip. Issues stated in changes include ones on abortion, eldery care and having the government officials also subjected to the same plans as ordinary Americans. It's was naturally headed for a fight of words and conflict. President Obama continues to remain confident and speaks positively that the changes made will be carefully and skillfully written and pursued closely.

Local Town Meeting with Senator scheduled all this week in Memphis
Memphis State Senator Bob Corker has 4 town meetings this week to discuss and debate the health reform. Corker met on Tuesday with a large crowd to talk with Memphis citizens about the reform package. In the meeting at the Holy Spirit Lutheran Church Corker stated.."You can't reform health care overnight." A large crowd of about 500 attended. About 20 protesters greeted him with signs and shouting! I am scheduled to attend the town meeting on Friday at 11 a.m. I'll report my attendance in the next issue of WINNIESPOETRY HOMETOWN MEMPHIS.

A TRAGIC DEATH
08.11..2009
Memphis, TN
A 16 old Memphis teen will be charged with murder of a 10 month old baby girl after he apparently hit her in the head with a barbell. However, it was discovered that [name excluded] is also a mentally challenged teen. Consequently, his mental condition will not clear him of being charged with 1st degree murder. Details include that [name exclued] struck the 10 month little girl-child Saturday afternoon at his and her home in the Whitehaven Park Circle. Details are not clear why the child was struck. The sibling was taken to the hospital and later she died. [name exclued] was still in juvenile custody last noted, and is schedule d to receive an mental health evaulation. Family of the dead little girl, says it was an accident and not an intentionable murder. They insist and conclude that [name excluded] is not aware of what he's done. The police department noted that even if he is mentally challenged, the courts will have to decide his outcome on the murder charge. [name excluded] resided with his aunt and uncle and three other children. The three children have been taken into state custody until further investigations. It's not fully disclosed, but speculated the children (were related) were taken into state custody-- and the dead child, though related, may still have been one of the foster children. The Child Advocacy Center raised it's flag on August 12, 2009 at 10:30 in memory of [child's name excluded].
I reflect a moment of silence for this family...due to privacy and respect names were removed from the story and the original title of the story was changed.
Chin up! We must read on... It's your call flip the coins...
It's...

HEADS OR TAILS :
YOU STILL WALK!
08.12.2009
Memphis, Tennessee
Students went back to school this week, but many went on foot. Memphis City School students have new bus routes and many old routes have been completely cancelled. Which leaves fewer bus routes are routes pickup farther apart. Some parents and relatives feel it's totally unfair. Since cutting some routes, the school system will be saving money, but causing a few headaches to households who have depended on school buses to take their children to school. Oppositions of parents say it's too hot to walk, and also very dangerous. Then those who drive will find long lines of congestion and waiting for pick-ups and drop-offs. School board officials say that district cuts eliminated at least 100 bus stops, and moving stops further apart for those students taking the bus to school. However, special education students still have stops closer to their homes. The changes in the bus routes is expected to save the school budget $6.5 million dollars.
That's a dollar headed ...in the school's direction!
MIISRAEL!
Okay, I headed off the track, but I back onto my speech! My voice is sounding like a frog!
