TAKE TWO :
ACTION! WITH A CRIME SWEEP
Memphis, TN 08.28.2009
Memphis Police Department and Southaven Sheriffs teamed in twos on Friday night, 08.28.2009 as the officers took off in full action making Memphis a much safer place in a crime sweep. Crime in Memphis has been at its overtime highest ever, so in action to hearing the people of Memphis, the two teams are running criminals amuck! Just last night alone police and sherriffs arrested 48 people, gave out traffic violations to 148 people and also arrested 6 gang members. The blue lights were seen all over Whitehaven area last night as it was their first of targeted areas to reduce crime in Memphis. Police will target more areas of the city too. So those crime doers better "slow" their dirty roles or they'll likely to be acting out their time in jail time. The crime sweep aiding in collecting guns, drugs and stolen items from home invasions and break-ins.

COME ON..CAN'T WE TAKE TWO ACTIONS AND ANNEX THIS CITY?

Recent discussions are back to the attention of annexing, Germantown and surrounding surburan cities to Memphis. Each surburan city has it's own mayor, and city's government, but most of the citizens share the city of Memphis for employment and trash pick up and many other services such as utilities services to homes. However still when it comes to annexing that will take two of them to agreement. In a recent remark quoted by a local newspaper Germantown's Governer said: I kind of consider it the same story. Pro Tem Mayor Lowery and Shelby County Mayor, A.C. Wharton thinks it's time to present the consolidation back up again to the voters by August 2010 and in front of voters in November of next year. Voters have taken two voting on a possible consildation for two times one in 1962 and two in 1971.
