Hugh, I have to applaud your efforts once again, in continuing not only to remind but also to inform those like me who would otherwise not even know of these pivotal moments in history.

Thats alright Steve everyone can not have a degree in Black history and be living history at the same time(smile)
I was born in North Carolina and when my home state had a black man runing for I can't remember if it was for the Federal senate or House and the Black man was in the lead so they brought our the brother who knows all about how well the Blacks are treated and there is no racism any longer, etc. and the Black candidate lost because of him backing the White candidate. You know like they brought out Rev Wright and Minsiter Farrakhan and Obama being a Muslim and all of that bull with the Clintons in those Black churches. Well it has worked until Mr. Obama.(smile)
And, my brother since you are an honorary brother in our Black race's extended family, I will tell you what a Black bloc vote is. It is when the African- American see such a threat to us from the out side the Black Christians and the Black Muslims unite and we as a political power become unstoppable(smile)You see as a rule the Black Muslims don't vote.

Don't worry Steve if you were still like the average White man you would still be seeing all blacks as one person and not individuals. And, besides those small minds taht will not allow any thing close to getting past we are only limited to going to prison, school dropouts then what can they learn any way.(smile) education is the only peacemaker as it offers a reason to respect our differences and not fear them...lov ya...but, not to worry because the average Black person knows less thn you do.(smile)
