Missing woman Mia Lynn Nichols found dead. (1633 hits)

The body of a missing woman Mia Lynn Nichols of Baltimore has been found almost a year after she dissapeared.

I would like to give my condolences to Mia's family whom I had the chance to meet last year at Mia's vigil and to all of her family and friends. This one hurts a little more than the rest. If her family and friends were any indication Mia was a great person.

I'm so so sorry to hear this news. I remembered who she was before even going back on this sight. She was such a beautiful lady. My heart and prayers go out to her 3 kids. What a heart breaking story. My heart aches for them.

When a White person goes missing, CNN, MSNBC, FOX news, and other media outlets are involved 24/7, but when a Black person goes missing, there is little to no media coverage. I personally think it is a damn shame!!!

Girl what's a shame is that Black people don't own their own television stations or those that do don't report these cases. Now that's what the real shame is.

Mr. Cook, THANK YOU for your blog. As I sat here scrolling down the list of missing women, I began to cry realizing (although I have known this for years) exactly how worthless some members of this country believe women of color are. Of those listed, I have only heard the story of two of these women, one being the mother of the three children whose body was just found. Nancy Grace has been reporting on cases like these for quite some time now and when BET had their news segment they would report this also.
