I share your rage regarding the community failing the victims. I can't believe that one of the women escaped Sowell escaped and didn't even REPORT the attack!! I was so angry when the news broke about this guy keeping corpes on his property and no one having good sense to think it was decomposing (rotting) human flesh. It's really sad that people still lived in that neighbor with such an aweful smell. It's just inconceivable for me to fully grasp how this neighborhood/community could be asleep to what's going on around them. I think a part of the problem is that Black people in these urban communities are still observing the "No Snitching' Code.
