The Queen's Chair: Russell Wins So You Think You Can Dance (208 hits)

Hooray for Russell!! I was delighted that he won the sixth season of So You Think You Can Dance. (I've been watching this show since Day One.) Without a doubt, he was THE dancer to be beat, but this hip-hopper with flowing braids was magically. He displayed true versatility with his turns at ballroom, flamenco, jazz, and modern dance. The judges were floored with his extension and the fact that he was pointing his toes and his archful extensions. When he was in his own elment, the brother was wicked!! Or bucked as they say now.

I also was brought to tears because he is the first winner to thanks his parents (who were in the audience.) His mother was sobbing. The look on her face stated how proud she was. Russell is the second male hip hop dancer to win the title as America's Favorite Dancer and the third African-American to win overall.
