Jennifer Hudson's I'll Be Home For Christmas was a fun musical adventure. I went to school near Chicago. I appreciated seeing the sights and sounds of the Windy City. I know I don't miss the cold.
I enjoyed her singing in the empty mall where she dedicated a song to her grandmother. I loved her duets with Michael Buble especially Baby, It's Cold Outside; it was great seeing her sing at Dunbar High School, and I was happy to catch a glance at her fiance, David and her son, David Jr.
However, I felt like I really didn't get why celebrating Christmas in Chicago was important to her. I GET that Chicago's home. However, I think the producers edited and avoided any references to her family tragedy. I understand that, but I would have enjoyed hearing MORE from Ms. Hudson. The interviews with area kids was alright, but I could have lived without it.
