If President Obama looked like Wesley Snipes would he have been elected? (485 hits)

In a 2 minute video commentary George Cook of www.letstalkhonestly.com discusses Harry Reid's recent statements. He talks about the fact the part of it concerning President Obama being light skinned and more acceptable to "America" is true. He ask the question if Barack Obama looked like Wesley Snipes would ne be president?

One of the defending comments many Whites gave to other Whites questioning their support of Obama was that Obama wasn't Black but half white. Last I checked Wesley Snipes appeared whole Black and dark as Shaka Zulu. Whites favor lightskin Blacks because they are mixed with White blood and Whites feel connected to them because of this mix. It's no different when two warring Kingdoms settled their beef when the son and daughter of their Kings married. This mixing sometimes brings peace because it's hard to hate yourself.

I think darkskin blacks can win White favor but it would take alot of selling out for them to do that. They would have to surely prove and disarm White fear with an incredible power such that it would mean they would have to do something usually unprincipled or incredible. And these are just my opinions but even Martin Luther King, Jr a very dark man never won the favor of Whites his faith in something incredible did.
