Thank you Martin Luther King, Jr., Coretta Scott King, Harriet Tubman, Malcolm X, Medgar Evers, Fannie Lou Hamer and countless others who helped to pave the way for me, my loved ones and community. The efforts, the courage, the hope, the passion and the love that you displayed day in and day out has made a tremendous difference in my life and in the lives of countless others. People from a myriad of cultures, beliefs, nations and languages have been blessed by the lives that you led with courage.
You changed nations. You changed peoples. My life is better for it. Despite the odds, despite naysayers, you kept your eye on the prize. You kept the goal in sight. You followed the vision and not distractions. And here we are blessed! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
