ABRAHAM SPEAKS: Black Men must treat Black Women much BETTER ! (2417 hits)

The notion that black women belong to us brothers and will stay with us no matter how black men treat them is a myth. There is a biological connection that gets trumped by abuse and neglect. Sure, brother our challenges outnumber black women in white America. That is because us brothers are stronger and more a threat. Bottom line is that we cannot take our frustrations out on our woman. She should be respected, protected and treated with dignity. If Black Women is to shun us brothers and choose white men, let it be not because we don't treat them right. Come on, brothers, we must keep our sisters and show more love, the queen of the planet earth.

Brother Jamal,
How on earth did I miss this blog?! You are speaking my language with this blog statement [Bottom line is that we cannot take our frustrations out on our woman. She should be respected, protected and treated with dignity.] But I need to add to it.

African American men need to learn from the men who do things right regardless to what ethnic group they belong to and that is Love is the key to any woman's heart and that love can be expressed with ACTIONS. I'm not speaking of Gold Digging or the like, but I'm speaking of Put up or Shut up >>> Putting your Money where your mouth is >>>

You may ask Jen Fad, "What does Put up or Shut Up mean?" I'm glad that you asked. I don't need to hear sorry, broke, busted, disgusted sad love songs of how the White man isn't giving a brotha man a break. I want to see that in spite of the challenges that he may be experiencing that he is still putting forth effort and going over and beyond his duties at work and at home to make sure the ends meet and that food is on the table for me and his children. If the job offers overtime then I want to see him volunteering for overtime and if he can Do get another second or third job to go with the first one>>> I want to see that Action being put forth. I want him to sit me down and tell me what he’s planning for our future to move us forward in life. I want to hear his dreams and aspirations as well as how he is going to cause them to come to fruition.

If he has talents and skills for business or what knot then I want to see it going forth. Put up or shut up. I want to see him showing me that he loves me with actions (and the bedroom doesn’t count) >>> hello >>> are you hearing me Brothas? I need love yes, but I need Action, because Talk is cheat unless you are putting your money where your mouths are. It's not all about money for me, but Money and Love are pretty close in my book, because without it there will be no electricity, no food, no water; I can't give love under those circumstances. I shouldn’t be put under such stress to perform, because I’m not Jesus and I can’t work miracles. I need a stress free environment and in order for me to make your castle befitting for you my king, I need you to handle your business.

Last and not least of all,
I think that brothas should stop crying about sisters like Halle, Alfre, Paula, etc who choose love with other men other than Black American men. How long ago was slavery? We are free Black women and we can choose to marry or be with who we dog-gone-well please. This America and yes we can!

Sincerely,
Jen Fad

Jen, you made it clear

America presents a unique set of challenges that if the the Black man is candid about and convey to the black woman, hopefully, both can reconcile. Your points on excuses to do nothing by the brothers is lame, I agree. From the untamed life of animals to that of civilized human beings, competition for females exist. This competition should be used to develop men of all races to become better at performing as a man. It sould not be a source of infesting black neighborhoods with drugs and an overabundance of liquor stores. Vices more readily picked up by troubled black male. If black women wants to provide shock treatment for black men to get themselves together, let them in numbers say they are fed up and going to white men. That is why we black men have to do better. For if black women are having these conversations, our incapacity has already grown to a critical stage. Now, it is wake up time....Of course, Jen, I know you not...this is not directed at you personally....But black men DO NOT WANT TO LOOSE THE LOVE AND ADMIRATION OF BLACK WOMEN so yes, we have to do a better job. Even if it means us brothers have to respect each other again, love each other again, respect each other again...We fundamentally must unify our effort so the focus of love from black women is once targeted toward the BLACK MAN.

Your last paragraph is just not going to happen. Brothers will always speak out against sisters that sell us out for a dollar or a white man just cause he has everything going for him in white America. How would white men like it if they were in a predominately black run country and we put 1/10 of their male population in jail and refused to hire 1/4 of the balance leaving a dispportionate number of white women without men. Those white women would do the same thing. So, there is the injustice aspect....but, first, let us brothers work on improving ourselves.

You can marry whom you want Jen just don't come crawling your black azz back. Lol.

I'm only kidding.

Black men and women owe each other some respect. Brothers need to enterprise more because it's obvious white males aren't going to hire us. And Black women need to stop wh0ring because slavery was primary against women let's not forget that women are still in slavery called White Slavery.

As Brother Jamal said competition for females exist among untamed animals as well as the rest or something like that... but Brother John let's talk about this Wh0ring
--- is it not true that even animals size up one another and mate with those who appear most suitable? At least that's what I observed as a small girl when I watched 'Wild Kingdom' so you see I really don't see the problem. I don't advocate that we (sisters) marry White men only, but I advocate that we marry any man regardless of their ethnic background who can love us and and provide for us because this makes better sense.

The conspiracy theories about the White man not hiring a brotha is a figment of one's imagination, but to be fair I'll give you benefit of doubt and assume that there is some truth in brothas not being hired--- My question: is that all jobs --- or just certain jobs?

A job is a job in my book whether it's working at Nations Bank as a bank manager or working at McDonald's sweeping the floors.

The real problem with a lot of brothas (not all brothas) is PRIDE. Let's talk about the real issues for a change. I happen to state that I never cared so much about what job a brotha had as long as it was legal, but the problem is that many (not all) let Pride stand in their way. That is what I have a problem with and refuse to advise any of my sisters to wait around for people like this.

I have a young silly cousin who has a college degree dating a fool who is currently locked up behind bars... Of course you have to know she didn't listen to my advice!

[As black men we need to be better fathers and husbands (and sons!) ourselves, because that's where we learn to be men, by seeing the fathers.]

Brother Clark,
I was afraid that your post was deleted by accident, but I see you have revised yours to include what I stated. I thank you so much for re-posting here, because I wanted to use you as an example to buttress my point about conspiracy theories that Black men aren't hired by White men, but I changed my mind. At any rate, you are a living example to your own family of what role models should be--- leading by example.

It is absolutely correct that we need more African American men to be better fathers to our children unlike the fatherless home I grew up in and the fatherless life I lived. MIA is what I say he was --- Missing in Action --- Alive but missing from my life. It really brings tears to my eyes even writing about it. What kind of man does that to his own child? There is really no need to cry over spilled milk now is there? I just wanted to say that I am never going to advocate for any woman to waste time or her biological clock waiting for a man to live up to what he is suppose to be to his family or to her (if she doesn't have children yet). After all I have learned that men don't have Biological clocks, but we women do and time is of the Essence to us.

Brother Jamal, I got a poem on this subject, there's actually two versions to this poem but this is the one most people like best, if you don't mind me sharing:

I AM WATER I AM WOMAN
By Sister Siebra Muhammad

I am water and woman am I
Flowing seductive travel towards me
The highest expression of femininity

When a woman is motivated from heaven to hell by masculinity
Examine her and sound the alarm mayday, mayday
A woman scorned is approaching your way
Apply the antidote known to work a womanliness
Must not react for calmness is the key in setting her free
From the path of a revengeful most certainty

To steady the waves and restore femininity her
Inspirational hour of dignity try these three words I love you
Eyewitness the capitulation from what the power of love will do

Whether my matter is liquid, solid or gas I must be
Expressed in the fullness of reality
In the form of a woman that either operates
From the physical, mental or spiritual side
Know the two water and woman have tides

Sometimes we are up sometimes we are down
No need to take it personal liken it to a courageous surfer
Ride it on out ensuring both when over will still be around

We need to be balanced by land or man
For water is to be free flowing supported by land
Woman she is to be loved secured and supported by her man

Behold I am water and I am woman
We have seven different characteristics of servitude
Treat us right no magic needed mystery solved
Key in to become truly tuned in as well as involved
Observe as we willingly open up our hidden
~Treasures for your Pleasure~

Brother Clark you hit the nail on the head with the foolish pride that you spoke of and the lack of love shown to family simply because some of these men don't know what it is to be a man. Lots of these guys are children needing the women to take care of them... it's real sad. I don't need anyone that I have to take care of and that is the point I make when I say put up or shut up. I need action.

Sister Siebra,
What a nice poem and it really makes so much sense. Women need that fine and delicate balance from men in order to be free flowing, eh.
