Earvin Magic Johnson, the Hall of Fame basketball player, is in talks to purchase Johnson Publishing Co., the publisher of Ebony and Jet magazines.

Magic Johnson is a true businessman who really wants to help our community. I was sad to hear of the news that the magazine was having problems, but I'm so happy that Magic is coming to the rescue. I hope all works out for both Johnson Publishing and Magic.
