PUBLIC OPTION IN HEALTHCARE IS ALIVE AGAIN!!!!! (851 hits)

The Public Option LIVES!!!!

For months now D.C. insiders and T.V. blowhards have said the public option is dead, but Senator Michael Bennet from Colorado just proved them wrong and Senators Kirsten Gillibrand (NY), Jeff Merkley (OR), and Sherrod Brown (OH) have already stood up to join him.

These four Senate Healthcare Heroes are circulating a letter calling on Majority Leader Reid to use reconciliation to pass healthcare reform with the choice of a public option.

[Many Senators] publicly stated last year that they would vote for a public option if it was in the final bill. Now it's time for them to prove it. Call and demand they sign on to Senator Bennet's Public Option letter right now. Visit www.Senate.gov and contact your Senator today! Please take 3 - 5 minutes to let your Senator hear from you to renew his or her support the Public Option!!

Thanks to your hard work, 120 House Democrats signed and delivered the Polis/Pingree letter to Harry Reid a little over a week ago.

Four Senate Healthcare Heroes saw that leadership and your hard work -- and aren't sitting around and hoping for change -- they're taking the lead and making it happen.

Think of it this way: if this was a football game, House Democrats threw the Senate a Hail Mary pass and these four Senators just caught it. But now, they have to score the touchdown. That means we need to call on other Senators to join them.

So today, members of Democracy for America, Progressive Change Campaign Committee, CREDO Action, and MoveOn are calling their Senators and demanding they sign Senator Bennet's Public Option letter too -- and join these Healthcare Heroes in fighting for real reform.

We know that premiums and out-of-pocket expenses will skyrocket this decade and the decade after that and a decade after that just as they did in the past decade. More small businesses will be priced out of coverage. More big businesses will be unable to compete internationally. More workers will take home less pay and fewer raises. We know that millions more Americans will lose their coverage. We know that our deficits will inexorably continue to grow because health care costs are the single biggest driver.

So just in case there's any confusion out there, let me be clear: I am not going to walk away from health insurance reform. I'm not going to walk away from the American people. I'm not going to walk away on this challenge.”

Lord, I am just as overwhelmed with joy as everybody else - especially African-Americans - should be! Today 16 signatures and counting....

Sister Agnes, sister Agnes the news about the Public Option is even better today...A few hours ago Rachael Madddow just showed the pictures of the now 11, yes 11 senaters who have signed papers calling for moving on to the Public Option with out even o-n-e Republican's help...

as one of the picctures shown was the Conservative powerhouse in the Senate from my state of California Diane Feinstein, "I" knew they now automacitally have 12 there because the other powerhouse is Barbara Boxer!!!!!!!

but, Agnes, Maddow being her self, she did not stop there, she had on a senater on the budget committee to talk about the add-ons that will be coming along with this to get the 50 votes needed (and, still lower the defict) was to get more fundings for pell grants and for children and a lot of goodies that any one who wants to remain in office or consider moral will never vote against this brand new PUBLIC OPTION IN THIS HEALTH CARE BILL NO MATTER THE POLITICAL PARTY....and, this is not all she did, she showed Grassley and (can't think of the other high ranking Republican'sname) so against this as the very ones who actually first came up with this public option idea during the Clinton administration and was for it until the Obama administration... so I can now understand why our president thought he could count on Grassly in the first place...

I am still in total shocktherefore the Republicans must be going to try and find a way to not run again also, because there is no way this is not going to be in their future campaigns...not with the TEA party on their heels as they are right now.(smile)

WHAT YOU DO TO OTHERS WILL ALWAYS COME BACK ON YOU. (probably what our president meant when he said they had boxed themselves in to a corner, because President Obama is no fool).........(Clark we did have some wise grandmothers didn't we- lol)

And, we should use this rational when we are tempted to put those down who will not support this out in public right at this time, because they are facing elections against the Tea party mentality and must right now play it safe as Christ M. of Hardball on MSNBC said. And, after hearing this valid excuse(?!?), I was so satisfied just about this actually coming into being!!!!!

YES WE CAN BECOME THE GOVERNMENT so keep it coming my sister. We have yours and our president's back full time(smile)
