Former Los Angeles Lakers Star Earvin "Magic" Johnson who was interested in purchasing Johnson Publications, the home of Ebony and Jet Magazines, has said "No" to the deal. It seems that the 50-year-old Lakers star wanted to keep the next generation of urban readers around and in touch with Ebony. The Michigan Avenue property attracted him, but the company's books told a different story. So he walked away from the deal. I hope Linda Johnson-Rice can keep her family's business alive. I would hate for her father's legacy to just disappear.
