Black Women Don't you love Your Black Men ...When? (295 hits)

When they escort you to your car open the door close it. You really love them when they do dishes, make a meal and take his part in paying bills and handling finances of your households. Are there still Black men displaying acts of chilvary to Black women today?

During the course of the day, I find myself taking observations of Black men and Black women as couples. I see very few...[rare] Black men who open doors for their Black women. I see far less often, when Black men walk with their mate, most of them walk ahead of their mate only leaving her behind, going inside a door first and never assisting her with the door at all. They seem be be thinking little of it, or not at all. It used to be that age group might of been a factor, but I find all ages of Black men who just don't practice chilvary. I'm sure a high percent of Black women actually adore this special attention. I was so glad to see a little 4-year old boy, holding the door open for his mother and his sisters. That's as rare as moon rocks! Come! Come! Black men. Let's brush up on our skills of chilvary! Black women are still women, sure, even when we're tough...We for the most part...Love always being treated like a lady.

We need the kind of respect given to black women from black men...no question about it. But, lets hit both sides of the coin....Say, a brother takes a white woman out for lunch or dinner....generally to almost all the time...the white woman will not order the most expensive thing on the menu and if they do will offer to help pay for the meal if not pay for the meal themselves....If that same brother takes out a nice charming Black woman...my experiences is that many times but not all the time she will order the most expensive thing on the menu and not say nothing about helping with the bill....No problem with a brother paying for a meal....But, brothers start to think that the sister is trying to abuse the brothers pocket...can't she order something that is not quite the most expensive (smile).

Jamal, I think you place yourself in situation where if you anticipate your date is going to order an expensive meal, you should be prepared to pay for it unless you've made it clear to her the amount you'd like to spend. An expensive resturant means just that, the price of the meal is costly! I suggest in using chilvary this way; You will alert your date ahead of time, and let her know of your ability to pay. That's good communcation on any date. Even if you went to McDonalds, at least your date will know what to expect of you and your willingness to pay. If you like to go where you each pay for your own meal that should also be made clear in the beginning. I don't think for the most part your date would want to take advantage of you if she is one who shows intregrity. Then, I suggest you might find a different kind of woman. [Smiles]

Lady Taylor: You are truly nice to your date, but if you're thinking you have to give up something for a meal, I wouldn't want to get involved with the "You eat with me you gotta pay this guy!" That's a bad sign to me.

Jamal! I'm a little tickled at you. Man! You'd better make sure you take enough to pay. I suggest you skip dinner altogether, and just make it a movie! That way all you have to pay for is popcorn and a soda! Total cost approimately $20 plus gas!

Just remember to get the doors for her!...Oh, she may want extra butter on that popcorn...
