Memphis, TN
03.24.2010

An enormous sinkhole caused fear among drivers yesterday afternoon when drivers heard a loud boom! Many driving were frightened when they heard the noise as a vehicle passed over it and the sinkhole gave way. The sinkhole caused minor traffic problems, however the emergency road system began preparations for repair shortly after it was reported. The area of the troubled and large sinkhole is on Interstate 240 east near Walnut Grove Road. Crews were there to repair the 12 inch damaged site early morning, but was detained by thunder showers that poured over Memphis this morning. After the rains showers, repair crewsmen will aim at having it repaired by the end of the day. Sinkholes are usually repaired with re-filling of dirt and concrete.

What else does sinkholes? Read this story first and I’ll tell you..

TOWN MEETING TONIGHT REGARDING
THE REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER
Memphis, TN
03.25.2010

The Regional Medical Center and the community will hold a town meeting tonight at The Mississippi Blvd. Christian Church beginning around 7 p.m. Groups supporting the Med and staffing will answer and follow up ways to help save the hurting financial sores of the hospital. Some appearances by local Shelby County Government will be attending. Earlier this year state funding will no longer be available to give grants to the medical center which aids in helping many poor and uninsured patients. The Shelby County interim mayor, Joe Ford may be on hand to see what plans are being drawn out to help The Med’s money woes for ailing its sinkholes of losses. City Commissioner, Diedre Malone stated on a local news programs that a recent bill submitted to law will be going into affect that will cause a 3% hospital tax from all Tennessee Hospitals [except those operated by non-profit organizations] will go into a funding account the aid The Regional Med’s current budget problems. They really have a hole to fill!

Now, here’s the answer to that question: What else does sinkholes?

Why it’s dirty dishes of course!

I heard this next story is on the its way to the big stage…. "It's either sinkholes or swim!"

IT’S A BROADWAY MUSICAL TITLED:
“MEMPHIS!”
National Tour Starts
03.25.2010

A newly released broadway musical will be making a way around the country. It’s titled MEMPHIS! The on stage show takes to the road today, March 25, 2010 and will sink it holes to visit many cities around the Southern United States. The musical is highlighted with scenes of dancing and popular Memphis sounds. In addition, the storyline takes place in the early years of the 1950’s when music of blues and rock-n-roll met with opposition for many southerners and their youth. During that time period, Memphis was seen has having music that was damaging to teenagers who loved hearing the rock-n-roll and blues sounds generated from what was called Memphis music. "Memphis!" that's music on stage you can really "sink" your teeth into!...Dah!

“You know what? There’s nothing like Hometown news…but we got to have a little weather to make it really hometown.” “Anin’t dat right?”

“You know I’m a Memphian who doesn’t speak with a Southern drawl, but there’re many who have. “They’re the ones who feel they don’t have any Southern dialect at all.”
