FROM FREEDOM TO SLAVES: ARE BLACKS TO BE SLAVES AGAIN?

Millions of us will yell we never will!
However, having my own thoughts on this I can see where it could very well have certain possibilities to happen. The reality of it is when? Relax, I know we have a black president now-- and his stand for freedom for blacks and the entire nations of Americans are to remain in America’s freedom. You though may not be aware that there is a document or; amendment that keeps us free. This amendment was resigned a few years ago. This document still contains an agreement that keeps us free--it has never been destroyed and has to be re-signed every so many years. I am sorry I cannot tell you the name of the amendment, but someone may know what it is called. The document states that blacks only remain free by proclamations written and signed under this government amendment. It is good to be aware and reminded that something like can actually occur in the latter days. Though I’m positive it would face much opposition even to riots and upheaval, but it is for us to keep in mind that possibilities are evident and could be likely. We must come to unify and stop fighting each other. We have to stop destroying ourselves, our community and we must learn to love who we are in order to conquer enslavements we face each day. A divided house will not stand.. A divided house will fall. History has been known to repeat itself. It should raise our eyebrows…..

Recently you repented and did what was right
in my sight: Each of you proclaimed freedom to
his countrymen. You even made a covenant before
me in the house that bears my Name.
But now you have turned around and
profaned my name; each of you has taken back the
male and female slaves you had set free to go where
they wished. You have forced them to become
your slaves again.

MIISREAL... I've got a "lil spark".. I thought the 26th Amendment the Poll Tax Law passed in 1964 allowed all citizens (including blacks) the right to vote in all elections. Poll taxes were enforced with the intent to disenfranchise african american/black voters?

A House Divided, is quoted from a verse in the bible and Lincoln's famous speech .. to introduce his Emancipation Proclamation...

Yes, you're correct, but this amendment is signed every so many years, I'll try to find out the name of it. But it entitles blacks to remain free. I'll investigate it, but I am sure it exists.

Of course, I am subjected to correction. How will you know if you have not be informed...

Doing a short investigation, the one I'm referring to is the Voting Acts Amendment. However, this is also something that could very well constrict our freedom. I welcome any more information about laws and amendments for freedom. I'm no expert in that department. My blog is focused on being aware that a form of slavery could return if we are to continue to destroy ourselves. Help on more of the documentations of government amendments for help us all to learn. Including me.

If I may add...This is a teaching and learning blog. I am so thrilled that someone may be well informed on topics like forms of documents and amendments that are meant to keep blacks free. So if you know more...please share.

With Civil Rights
Numerous Sit Ins... Students from Shaw University? Arrested for protesting in a Sit In in Woolworth?
Tallahassee Students were arrested, spat on, for the sake of civil rights
Mississippi - students kidnapped and tortued, simply for trying to register black voters.
Little Rock Arkansas...

I believe that there was an attempt to exercise rights... But most times faced with oppressors...

Even today, black codes are still in place.... makes it difficult for blacks to buy homes in upper class neighborhoods... attend ivy league universities...
even get loans to own our own businesses....
adequate jobs, the legal system is so tainted...

As long as the privilege continue to have it's way.... black americans are always going to be oppressed....

At my job I am the only ... ONLY BLACK/AFRICAN/NATIVE FEMALE... I am the EEOC quota..... No, I am not depended on my job... Im dependent on me making a better life for myself and my sons... But because I live in a society that values economics.. I work to provide the necessities for my children.

I am not enslaved... I recognize the fact that "I HAVE TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE FOR MY LIFE" and with God's Help and my determination.... Im Gonna Be There...

But alot of our people are still oppressed/enslaved .. because of many factors...

Oh dang Solomon....

I can't argue when you bring Malcom X out....

now I gotta regroup here.... Dr. King did alot of things that were questionable... And unfortunately alot will be revealed about his time... They just recently released some of the recorded tapes the CIA had they kept very close contact on him....Afterall ... Robert Kennedy was the Attorney General. There are some documents and letters yet to be released..

My "lil spark... is fading.... (lol)
My Aunt followed Malcolm X when she was alive and living in New York... She'd drag my mom to Harlem and make her sit and listen to his teachings.... So, for my oral history... I heard the stories of Brother Malcolm....

So, for me to argue against Malcolm .... Would probably cause my Aunt to turn over...

Now the question is... ARE BLACKS TO BE SLAVES AGAIN... Alot of our minds are still enslaved.... To the degree where they will not take the numerous opportunities out there.... My Grandfather used to tell me.... Don't worry about what people think.. If someone tells me, I CAN'T... He'd say stand on FAITH... I tell my sons... NOTHING CAN KEEP YOU FROM ACCOMPLISHING YOUR GOALS.. as long as you are sincere.. true and honest with yourself and have faith.

I do not subscribe to negativity in my life... My associates are few... I want people around me who are going to help aspire me to reach my fullest potential and motivate me to be the best...

With this as long as our people continue to keep to the streets... rely on drugs.. and alcohol.... they are already ensalved and will never become free unless they unchain those habits that keep them bounded... and oppressed

Thanks Irma, I appreciate you input. It's just good to know these things. As for my real views of being free...it all about the Divine! I believe human behavior never socially controlled either, because I believe in a God who is fair and just. I can never forget how many times he's been there for me. Throughout history men have been slaved and free.. yet still we find that unity is often the key that places and end bondage. Much love..[Smiles to you]

Enlighten me means to provide me with knowledge..
It's a compliment.... All of you are giving me insight to things I have not known or maybe am familiar with...

But socially... many of us mimmick what we see... It's a learned behavior...
Fashion, stylem, clothing....

The social norm... I believe we all conform to certain social standards....

BUT as we grow and begin to find OUR own purpose, this is when we breakk free of the chains that bind us.

does that make sense to you?

Clark thank you! I think it has to do with voting too! At least I am trying to be aware of things I can learn about laws and amendments. Your deep insight also makes it clear how we en-slave ourselves within our own living. Clark, we need that Redemption Song to be played more often. We don't have to have wasted minds! Maybe you'll add that song on here from YouTube. I would if I knew how.

--I'm thankful to all of you, sometime it's just good to converse on things many of us are not aware of-- or we just need to learn. How helpful it is to me; and maybe who knows to someone else too.

Properly thanking each of you once more!

No Blacks are NOT to be slaves again. When we go back to OUR culture OUR first love keeping the Most High first in what we do we are ensured success as a productive family and Community. We have been robbing, stealing, and killing each other (mentally and physically) and as long as we continue we will be uncomfortable.

The handwriting is on the wall for clear eyes to reflect. Our Black men/woman must take back their rightful ruler ship but it won’t happen unless they take control (emotion and discipline) of themselves. YES WE CAN...YES WE WILL...YES WE MUST!!

Do you believe that our thoughts and conditions of learned helplessness can set into motion certain spiritual energy that helps or defeats our purpose. I have never been taught nor heard of Black people being put back into the shackles of slavery again. Matter of fact I think that the more you push thoughts of slavery out of your mind the further it will be from you. This doesn't mean to forget about the past, it just means to get the positive-future together first before you get stuck in the negative-past.

Thank you too Siebra! I know many are trapped by mental slavery, but as Helen stated the more we push thoughts of slavery out of our minds the further it will be!

MIISRAEL, you know me and how "I" always stick with the laws of MOther Nature on how human behavior is only able to come from within and can never be socially controlled...

but I believe that the ammendment you speak of is the first ammendment...this gives the right to have control of yoru own ablility to be with anyone you choose (to determine what is right and what is wrong) and to be able to legally speak out against this as a legal right...and tis covers all men, women and child no matter teh race, creed, s*x or color of skin. (smile)

Cynthia, about the only way "I" can answer your question is by these two statements which to me are true...

1. Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a change is the definition of insanity.

2. A person who does not get any kind of pleasure out of PAIN will only sit on a burning hot stove, o-n-c-e. (smile)

Cynthia, I see you ule the expression of enlighten me a lot, could you please explain...I only aks because my definition of enlighten means help me to under stand your side of the issue so that I can compare it with my belief of what is true/ facts. (smile)

Cynthia, what you just said makes so much sense at least me until it is restating exactly what I mean as 'enlightment' which never allows the abuse of others own individual unlimited natural powers by way of fears that keeps them under certain social rules and regulations...

We as human beings have come a long ways in resisting the social needs of what we call the "dark age" (smile) dispite science and religion still being at odds with each other...but, thats where dialogue takes center stage as on this blog/ this site...lov ya all. (smile)

thanks MIISRAEL for another of your spiritual uniting subjects...
