The Battle of Fallen Timbers was an important victory for the United States Army against natives in the Northwest Territory. But, the battle of Wabash River was considered a massacre for being the most severe defeat ever suffered by the US Government at the hands of Native American Indian warriors. Of the 1,000 US troops General Arthur St. Clair led into the battle, only 48 US troops are known to have survived unharmed. In the Creek war of 1812, Militiamen under Andrew Jackson broke the power of Creek raiders who had attacked Fort Mims and massacred settlers. They relinquished a vast land tract across Georgia and Alabama.
American Indians were loosing land to the US Govt forces. This made it a victory in the gaining of land. White people knew the value of land. The Indians new the value of land. It seems like most cultures understand the value of land but, the black Americans. Land was fought for intensively in this country, yet, all black Americans want is a job.
Makes you wonder ?
