TO HAVE A GREAT UNDERSTANDING (2523 hits)

ENRICHMENTS FROM THE WORD:
Understanding is a great love!

Do you consider yourself a person who well understands most things? You listen and analyze, examine and give the best reception of understanding as a whole in most things you encounter. You also display emotions of love in the understanding of what others tell and confide in you to reason. You can,... if you are having a great understanding.

A great understanding is having a Godly mind of love, serenity, peace and calm. Loving God and his love will he fill your mind and heart with thoughts of greater understandings . Your understanding becomes great and in your heart you will become a better person spiritually, morally, intellecutally and physically. You'll have a panacea for every trouble and you'll have a great understanding of yourself inside and outside and with others. Anytime you feel you're fading away from God's ways of understanding, you must tune your mind back from wandering and finding his Holy Presence within you to keep you aware of understanding what pleases the Lord.

To have a great understanding is knowing a Great God who is Holy, and knows all things of your heart. He will open your mind to fill you with this great understanding of Himself. Understanding is Love. This is a greatest understanding of all. Where your actions will be conducted to the commandments of God. This is how know the Lord it is TO HAVE A GREAT UNDERSTANDING OF HIM FROM DOING THINGS IN LOVE BY HIM.

"He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding'
but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly."
[Proverbs: 14:29]

Be enriched.

Great thought-

I do not understand this statement,

"To have a great understanding is knowing (a) Great God who is Holy"

when you say (a)--

does that mean one can choose from a pleathora of paganGods?

does this mean that a created man/woman then can decide if that god;

they choose, has to be great; to them or others?

they choose, has to be holy; to them or others ?

It can mean that people serve other gods or articles that represent gods to them. --Some being false gods.

-I believe there is only one God and he is a God that is Holy.

-Perhaps I may have paraphase the statement, using [a] but in clarifying it I am meaning the One Great God who is Holy. Not giving one any other choices of gods, however-- I know people serve other gods some knowning of them, some they serve unknowningly.
I think I've understood your question and answered you Robert.

thank you for clarifying your Blog,

you talk here about holy and say,"people serve other gods or articles that represent gods to them. --Some being false gods."

we many times in America talk about judeochristian scholarship and thought so I looked to wiki for help with a definition of "holy" as per religiousThought

Judaism

In Judaism, the idea of God as a duality or trinity is heretical.
Nonetheless, the term Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit) is found frequently in Talmudic and Midrashic literature. In some cases it signifies prophetic inspiration, while in others it is used as a hypostatization or a metonym for God. The Rabbinic “Holy Spirit,” has a certain degree of personification, but it remains, “a quality belonging to God, one of his attributes” and not, as in Christianity, representative of “any metaphysical divisions in the Godhead.”

Christianity

Within mainstream Christianity the Holy Spirit is one of the three persons of the Trinity. As such he is personal and also fully God, co-equal and co-eternal with God the Father and Son of God. He is different from the Father and the Son in that he proceeds from the Father (or from the Father and the Son) as described in the Nicene Creed. His sacredness is reflected in the New Testament ] which proclaim blasphemy against the Holy Spirit as unforgivable.
The Holy Spirit is believed to perform specific divine functions in the life of the Christian or the church. These include:
Conviction of sin. The Holy Spirit acts to convince the unredeemed person both of the sinfulness of their actions, and of their moral standing as sinners before God.
Bringing to conversion. The action of the Holy Spirit is seen as an essential part of the bringing of the person to the Christian faith. The new believer is "born again of the Spirit".
Enabling the Christian life. The Holy Spirit is believed to dwell in the individual believers and enable them to live a righteous and faithful life.
As a comforter or Paraclete, one who intercedes, or supports or acts as an advocate, particularly in times of trial.
Inspiration and interpretation of scripture. The Holy Spirit both inspires the writing of the scriptures and interprets them to the Christian and/or church.
The Holy Spirit is also believed to be active especially in the life of Jesus Christ, enabling him to fulfil his work on earth. Particular actions of the Holy Spirit include:
Cause of his birth. According to the gospel accounts of the birth of Jesus, the "beginning of His incarnate existence", was due to the Holy Spirit.
Anointing him at his baptism.
Empowerment of his ministry. The ministry of Jesus following his baptism (in which the Holy Spirit is described in the gospels as "descending on Him like a dove") is conducted in the power and at the direction of the Holy Spirit.

AlIslaam

In AlIslaam, the Created Spirit that acts as an agent of divine action or communication commonly identified with the angel gabrielJibreel or Ruhul Qudus (Ruach HaKodesh in Hebrew) is called holy spirit, but also alternatively with the created spirit from God by which he enlivened Adaam, and inspired the angels and the prophets. The belief in Trinity is heretical as in Judaism; and AlQur'aan calls it a grave sin. The same applies to any idea of the duality of god-Allaah

judaism and AlIslaam seem closer in this respect of holy religious thought of The Creator.

judaism and AlIslaam of course trace their ancestry to Adaam and the sons of abrahamIbraheem. both do not recognize the greekPaganThought of jesus as a equal or partner with hebrew Illaah; or arabic Allaah.

are any of these three religionousThoughts representing false gods?

Robert your detailed analysis is extremely well received. Holy Spirit is the disernment of God's Spirit which conducts the spirit of man and the spirit of God as being or becoming one united the power of love. Love is understanding, Love is God, Holy Spirit the movement of God felt in the presence of those who believe in Jesus Christ. Trinity. Thank you.

Clark what a splendid observation it will all be laid out in the end.
We we understand it better by and by. Thank you.

Addedeum: Are these representing false gods? These religions [Judaism, Allslaam] may not represent serving a false god, which many followers claim to server represent only one God the God of Heaven. In understanding this they omit or misrepresent these facets of God..."Jesus Christ and The Holy Spirit" which the God of Heaven says are his own Spirits. The Holy Trinity of God. The love of God, Jesus Christ and the Spirit of God which is Holy. As Clark mentioned all how divergence came about? In studying the Word it appears that Christ who is God's Son stirred up men to divide from him[ Jesus] and find other ways of serving God. Denying Christ. The Understanding of God is great Love and His great Love he shared with the life of his only Son. This is the understanding of which I speak of in my blog.

Serving false gods can be connected with the materialism of the world, serving money, greed, and things of the worship which pleases the mind and flesh.

Hello to All,

I could see that Ms. Shields does not understand what Robert has explained about the Holy Spirit and God.
I also see that Clark understands, but refuse to apply Robert’s eloquent explanation in the proper usage of the Holy Spirit.
The only rational reason that would explain the stubbornness and ignorance of Ms. Shields and Clark is that they are Christians who believes in a man (Jesus) as God and Christianity is God only true religion. Perhaps, if they would ask themselves the question if they could be wrong would be the beginning of wisdom and understanding for them.
I must mention that Robert similarly is stubborn and ignorant as well when it comes to understanding that Al Islam is a religion specifically ascribe to Arabian people. Perhaps, Robert should ask himself the question as well, is Al Islam my religion or the religion of the Arabian people. Robert knows that God have always racially matched the prophet to his people and Robert is not an Arab man, am I right. Therefore, none of you seems to have a working understanding of the Creator of all things first and everything else second and for this reason, your minds are cloud.

Now, let me if I could set Clark straight. You claim that it is interesting how Judaism and Al Islam profess the Holy Spirit only to be an attribute of God, which it is if you will. However, you go on to talk out of both sides of your mouth because of your stubbornness and ignorance as a Christian to promote the Holy Spirit as a co-entity with Father and Son in the so-called trinity, which is a word that is not written in the Bible.
Consequentially, you do not understand anything said since you cannot properly and intelligently apply understanding to what Robert explained. Jesus that you referred to as the Son was a human being. Therefore, Jesus as well as no man could be an attribute of God. Christianity is a religion invented by Apostle Paul based on how fanatically he believed in Jesus. Then many years later the Nicene Creed ratified the religion of Christianity. In all respect of the concept of paganism, Christianity is right in there since Christians worship a false god, namely Jesus. It is plain to see that the Christians does not have the intelligence to separate man from God, am I right.

It should be clear in the minds of Ms. Shields and Clark that no man could be God and God would not be a man. Therefore, nothing is comparable unto God. The first and second Commandments of the Creator that Moses had spell it out clearly what I just said. Ms. Shields and Clark read for scholarship the first and second Commandments of God.

Furthermore, Ms. Shields, God is not love. God is the Creator of all things namely man, animals, love, hate, good, bad, ugly, evil etc. etc. Love is an emotion that we see in man and animals, am I right. Therefore, God is not an emotion. God is the Creator of all things.

Tell me what you think.

miisrael,

my question was,

"are any of these three religiousThoughts representing false gods?"

Judaism-The First and Original Representation of Monotheistic Thought and the Books of the Judaism, are recognized by the 2 Billion Muslims in the world and all Islaamic scholarship of the past 1431+ years as ORIGINAL FACT>

the concept of 3 in one--god had to pay the devil for sins with a son--are made up thought of paganRomans, paganGreeks and paganEuropeanThought.

you, brought up the idea of "false gods"

roman, greek and nordic godsTheology is the thought of false gods.---

Judaism and AlIslaam are Monotheistic Thought from the One Creator, the Creator of Adaam. Neither of which recognize a 3 in one falseness.---and for Irmas benefit the 2 Billion Hindu, Buddhist and Confucious believers do not recognize a 3 in one falseness.

First, I like to thank the all for the intellect used here

@ Harry: I must also have an understanding of what's being written. I do not appreciate Harry your "emotional name calling." Thus, I certainly will not absorb that you've called me as being "stubborn or ingornant." I will definately not be like you. Love for "me" is not only emotional element . Love is a Spirit and it's the Spirit of God that is Love. The God I love is a Love Spirit. You can and keep your preceptions of what you think of God. I will agree with you he is the Creator. Secondly, you ideals of God are yours, mine are mine. I will not debate on you ideals of what is God, but stick to my stubborness to what I have inside me is the understanding brought about in the love of God's Son. . This is the great understanding I'm writing of. The understanding no one can deter or disdain, The of God and God's Son Jesus Christ. However, I did misread Robert's question and it was because of that, I answered him differently. If Robert has reason enough he can clarify and communicate his own replies. Since he has done that I will consider to answer him. If you love Harry, you will follow the commandment of Love. If you love God you will love his Son.

@ Robert here's my reply : I would say that the religious thoughts your asked are NOT false gods. These thoughts convey to me as having thoughts of ONLY One God. My apology for misreading your question. I am no way reproving that reliougious thoughts are serving false gods.

@ Irma I'm blowing bubbles...I know myself well [Smiles]

Thanks everyone its's my curtesy is to learn and share. Not saying either you or me are perfect and right, but that we come to discussion with opinions, thoughts and understanding. To have a great Understanding....

And I count people from three great religious traditions in this remarkable exchange of ideas.

There is an ancient Sanskrit word for a kind of conversation that centers on spiritual truth. SATSANGA. Talking about Truth.

That is exactly what you all are doing. And I feel blessed to be a part of it!!!

Hello Ms. Shields,

Let me make it clear to you Ms. Shields that you are not able to discern what is name calling from what is not.

Let me give you an example of name-calling. If someone called you an idiot or stupid, that is name calling and you are not either then that is name calling. Because, if you were really an idiot or stupid you would not know it since it falls below the bar of name-calling. It is in an area of mental disability.

However, when someone calls you ignorant and shows that you are that is not name-calling for two reasons.
Firstly, name-calling is when you call a person a name and cannot prove that they are this name.
Secondly, to be ignorant means you do not know something, what ever that something is. However, whether you do know or not what is being talked about, the term ignorant is above the bar of name-calling. It is permissible to refer or call someone ignorant. I have been ignorant to many things and what I did was bring myself up to par instead of whining and complaining when the person in earnestness told me I was ignorant.

Now, we are not supposed to have personal and private ideas of God. Our intelligence demands that what ever our religion is or whatever race we are we ought to have one concept of God, which begins that God is responsible for creating all things. For instance, I am a Black American and God created me. Mr. Kigel is Caucasian American and God created him. Prophet Mohammed was Arab and God created him. Jesus was Jewish and God is responsible for creating him as well. Am I making any sense with you Ms. Shields? So, let us begin to use our brain and be more rational, okay.

Tell me what you think.

Saturday, June 5th 2010 at 4:43PM

@ Harry: I view name calling as speaking "out of term" about a person whom you know little about, or do not know personally. You do not me well enough to call me anything-- even ignorant or stubborn along with other names you might say...as I said "I will not absorb it" -- nor will no long ellaborate on this discussion. If you liked to continue discussions of understandings I look forward this discussion because this blog is for discussion of understanding and knowing how to understand God. To have a great understanding.. is understanding God is Love. Using your brain is not understanding if that were so, you'd use yours more often than less. To have understanding comes from God's Spirit of Love.

Beautifully written,

Tremendous Title-- TO HAVE A GREAT UNDERSTANDING

I would like a great understanding---you say in Your blog,

"This is a greatest understanding of all. Where your actions will be conducted to the commandments of God."

Moses(english) received Commandments of The Creator(Torah or New Testament); are these the commandments that give great understanding?

Exodus 20:2–17--
(I love the Hebrew but for English sake-wiki translates---)

2 (1) I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, and slavery;
3 (2) Do not have any other gods before me.

4 You shall not make for yourself an idol, whether in the form of anything that is in heaven above, that is on the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.

5 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, punishing children for the iniquity of parents, to the third and the fourth generation of those who reject me,

6 but showing steadfast love to the thousandth generation of those who love me and keep my commandments.

7 (3) You shall not make wrongful use of the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not acquit anyone who misuses his name.

8 (4) Remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy.

9 For six days you shall labour and do all your work.

10 But the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God; you shall not do any work—you, your son or your daughter, your male or female slave, your livestock, or the alien resident in your towns.

11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but rested the seventh day; therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and consecrated it.

12 (5) Honor your father and your mother, so that your days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you.

13 (6) You shall not murder.

14 (7) You shall not commit adultery.

15 (8) You shall not steal.

16 (9) You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

17 (10) You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or male or female slave, or ox, or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.

As a Muslim who for over 40 years has traveled and worshipped with Believers from California, to The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to Australia

---I will, if Allaah pleases, state that the 2 Billion Muslims in the world would Totally agree with these commandments and this original Torah Verse of our Great Prophet mosesMusa(as).

Hello Clark,

You originally said this, “However in Christianity it is promoted as a co-entity with the Father and Son in a trinity.” The statement of yours is a statement of affirmation to the audience that the Holy Spirit is a co-entity with the Father and Son. Again, your statement is not a question it is an affirmation.
You said this because you are a Christian. You believe that Jesus is the son of God, which forms the Trinity. Believing that Jesus is God and your Lord and Savior is cardinal belief of the Christian religion.

So, let us do it this way. Do you believe that Jesus is the son of God and your Lord and Savior? Answer the question and we can stop all this nonsense.

What say you?

Hello Ms. Shields,

How could you be looking for a great understanding and say that your actions will be conducted to the commandments of God while at the same time you believe that Jesus, a man was God when the first and second commandments of God tells you that worshiping any image on earth is blasphemy.

If you want a great understanding Robert for the moment and I are giving you great understanding. I am advising you to put Jesus down and pick up God. Am I making any sense to you?

Tell me what you think.

are these the commandments that give great understanding?

Sunday, June 6th 2010 at 8:46AM

@Robert This is answer I have to your question--The Commandments of God are the statues of his laws. These laws brings us to obedience and of course a great understanding. Commandments of his Laws are still part of those who seek his understanding in keeping and following him with obedient living. His commandments gives us great understanding in telling us how he expects us to live. They give us instruction and ways to follow so that we please our God.Let us not forget his greatest commandment of Love. Leading us again to what I've written in the blog "Understanding is Love." We will receive this great understanding from his commandments when we keep and follow them in Love.

Yes, this is way we find we can attain A Great Understanding. Keeping and doing his Word and the love of obeying his commandments.
Obedient servants will have this great and wonderful fulfilment of God's Laws!

I have answered you as truthfully as I know how Brother Robert.

Sunday, June 6th 2010 at 10:12AM
MIISRAEL Bride
Hello Ms. Shields,

Is obeying God commandments all there is to human life?

What about advancing in life? What about making the quality of your life, your people’s lives and other peoples lives better? What about constantly seeking understanding of the earth and how science works? Are not these things as great as obeying God commandments?

In other words, obeying God commandments is meaningless if you have a dumb or an irrational mind, am I right.

I say this because I recognize your arrogance when you said this, “Consider and follow the commandments in your actions Harry. I love you. It is finished.” You believe that it should be finished because you are right even if you were wrong. Most self-righteous people are arrogant people and the majority of them are so-called religious people. They are people that you cannot intelligently dialogue with since they feel they are right even if they are wrong. Am I making any sense with Ms. Shields?

Can I use your Blog to summarize a Great Understanding?

the commandments of Moses ARE the foundation for Monotheistic Understanding.

That The Creator took His Believers out of Slavery, asked them to Never make any idol, or representation of The Creator to worship, from anything in Creation, unless He would punish them for generations.

I feel already a Great Peace, I will follow these commandments, thank you.

If you wish to continue as you are, this is between you and the Creator.

Here again the scripture from this blog:

"He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding'
but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly."

I am slow to wrath and my understanding is great. It is up to you to accept to follow God's Commandments or it up to you to refuse. "You can keep doing what you've been doing all along--or you make your own choice to change."
