Memphis! The musical took off with hot wins last night at the Tony Awards winning four “Hot Tonys” One which was Best Musical. The stage play plots a hot romance of an inter-racial couple set back in the 1950’s. This brings more national attention to the somewhat dull shining city’s aim to boost up it’s moral. Now with Memphis the city is on a winning path, there will be less focused on the crime and more focused on the lime! "Lime life that is." Memphis! The Musical will be touring around the country all year and will wind up in Memphis, Tennessee October 2011.

Two of local Memphis area students flew away with $1,000 each as being winner of the Princeton Prize for literary writing. Kendra Powell of Hutchinson School and John C. Williams of St. George School picked up their hot prize on Thursday, June 10, 2010. Both students submitted writings on “The Effects of Diversity.” Their writings involved ways to organize funds to Uganda and it's little known effects of the nation's so called invisible children. Local minister Kenneth Robinson was the speaker for the award ceremony. The Princeton Award is sponsored by the University of Princeton to high school students who has shown outstanding works and achievements.

Residents in the Madison Towers wings may have another hot day. The air conditioning unit flew away. Residents have all been given fans to suffer through hot temperatures until the unit is replaced or fixed. Many residents are concerned for its senior live-ins because they are more venerable to suffer from heat exhaustion or heat strokes. Presently, all residents have been given fans to help aid in a little hot air…temperatures will be the 90's today and the rest of the week.
I’m sure they’ll want their hot wings…MILD on their plates….

Residents of a trailer home were invaded by an attacker who claimed he had been robbed and needed help. When the 70 year old grandmother opened her door to help the man intruded with a flying hammer striking her in the on the side of her head. Two children also residing in the home help aided the grandmother, only to get clobbered with the hammer as well. The grandmother took her stand and fought back driving the attacker away. One of the children escaped from a window and ran to a neighbor’s house to get help. Later, a law canine found the suspect hiding in the brush where he was arrested. Witnesses said the grandmother and the kids were pretty bloody, but they are likely to recover. One of the children however, may require reconstructive eye surgery.
