My mother was what I considered a very wise woman. With her wisdom shown in herein me with recalling many of her sayings and in her teachings, I consider she gave me good advice on life lessons. It was wonderful learning from her and though she having 6 daughters wanted to keep every single one us as "lady like" as humanly permitted. Our rule area of country living was unforgettable. I was raised on a share-croppers farm and most our food was home grown including our meats and produce. Only things we bought from a store was probably furniture and household items. Thus, came about to me today this barnyard saying which I’m quite sure many of you possibly never heard. She said: “A whistling woman or a crowing hen come to no good end.”
Meaning that "men were meant for whistling as roosters were meant to crow." The teaching of the saying is meant for keeping daughters and young ladies from acting like men and doing as men do. In all respect, that women should act like women not taking up doing the habits of men. Today, of course many young ladies will dispute they can do as they want, but I still remain to saying everything you do is not always good for you. Daughters and Sons always need mothers and father’s discipline and direction. Even when they stray away from teaching of good things perhaps they will finally sink in and they’ll return following of their parents directions. Hopefully if they are not caught up too deeply in life's winding roads the instructions they were taught early in the charity of their upbringing will bring them to common sense thinking.
On the barnyard scene--
"A hen that crowed was usually destroyed. So it was with a woman that continued to whistle."
That’s an interesting bubble…It’s silver and it’s ageless.
“I will that your days be pleasant and long upon the earth.”
BUBBLES AWAY!.....000000000000000000..oooooooo...
