Memphis Tennessee is now the feature of a new televison show called MEMPHIS BEAT. The premeire airs tonight on the TNT Network. The show stars Jason Lee, Alfre Woodard and DJ Quails. The mixture of the television series stirs in ingredients of one cool detective with the love of the Memphis Blues and sounds. However, his laid back recipe puts a bad taste in a criminal's mouth when he's delivering and serving out the badge. Some scenes of the televison is actually filmed on location in Memphis, Tennessee. Memphians locally are a little uneasy because of the high crime rate of violence that's been overshadowing the city the last 5years. Crime in Memphis is at it's all time highest in murders and gun violence with at least 4 to five reported murders everyday which doesn't include those none reported scenes of crime. Although the show will focus on the cool style of the cops, it's not being received well with most Memphians and there's a bit a bad taste in their appetite to see it. Locals just aren't looking forward to elevating the city's down side of crime and malcious lawbreakers. I'm sure many will be watching to see what's cooking on the show. Alfre Woodard is featured in a most amazing supporting role in the series, her acting experience is stunning.
Will the Memphis Beat make its sound come through with the music? You'll be enterained with the music group Robert Randolph and the Family Band. The music proves promising, but you'll have to turn it on and let the Memphis Beat Blow Up! The producers are certainly hoping it will be a hit! Turn your dials on the premeire --TNT tonight at 10/9 Central time. Ka...POW!
