#3 Dies in Heat Related Death!

Another heat related death occurred on Thursday, June 24, 2010. The elderly resident was reportedly found at his home where the temperature of his house exceeded 94 degrees. This was the #3 in the heat related deaths in Memphis during the high temperatures. Weathermen consider this June’s heat hotter than normal temperatures in comparison to other statistics recorded. Authorities stated that the elderly-man did not turn on his air-conditioner and thus perished from heat exhaustion. City officials are constantly reminding those who have air conditioning homes to not be troubled by the cost of high utilities, but to take more precaution on keeping themselves alive. They are emphatically saying “Please, if you have available air conditioning… “Turn it on!”
Man…can’t say that enough….we want everyone to be cool, safe and moreover…alive!

An 18 year woman was shot and killed by a stray bullet while attending at night spot called 296. The young woman was caught up in the cross fire which was started inside the club and moved outside. The shootings were claimed to be gang-related. A 24 year man and a youth were arrested. Charged with 1st degree murder the man’s bail is set at 1 million dollars.

Lebonheur Children’s Medical Center has finally completed its new hospital. The facility held its grand-opening celebrating over 50 years of service to underprivileged children. They grand opening....OOPS!....Uhhh...The grand opening consisted of a lively parade and hundreds as hundreds supporters came out to view the brand new building. At least 100,000 started off the campaign in 2005. Since then the generosity never stop pouring in. Leboneur is dedicated to continuing to provide excellent health care to children in the mid-south and all over the world.

People turned it on! ... and it turned out to be a successful Grand Leboneur opening!...Now more of those lovely sweet kiddes can turn forward to better medical care and get well. My contact there Ms. Ruthie says "It's a beautiful hospital!" The lights inside do turn on a shine!
