THE FIGHT OF POT AND KETTLE (281 hits)

Pointing fingers at someone? Name calling back and forth? Saying things that are rude and nasty? Have you been guilty of these things? These reponses are a few concepts of the verbally abusive individual. Well, that's like "The pot calling the kettle black."

"Hay pot you're really black!.... Oh yeah! Well ..kettle you're blacker!"
"I'm not as black as you! No...you're blacker than me!"

You'll find many times people will do just that, and just possibly you and I have at one time or another been included in the people. Quickly one can be to point a finger at someone else when they have the same kind of actions. Attitudes, appearances, and the social aspects of us all can be included in name calling. I was told that sometimes if a person is verbally abusive they are often talking about how the feel about themselves.

Insults to injury is never considered as appropriate behavior. If there is a verbally abusive person you are often in contact around before you wish to retaliate consider another approach and don't fall into the trap of doing what they're doing. If they are cursing you doesn't mean you have to curse back. As in one of the most recent topics I mentioned how talking too much without diplomacy can become a tongue of dangerous tales and lies. The same can be applicable in words that abuse.

Name calling is an instrument designed for destruction if it is generated with hateful undercurrents. One must never consider name calling as having any good or positive effects, and it should be avoided. If a person is calling names; I suggest that some action be taken to remedy his or her unruly tongue. Always consider other feelings and watch what you will say. [Counting to 10 might help] You can easily slip into ring with The Fight of the "pot and the kettle."
And Disqualified....."You're... BOTH OUT!

"My punches made the darkest rings on your face.....Oh no they didn't!... my punches made even darker rings on your face!!" "Oh yeah!....Yeah!" Pot you're Black!...Kettle, you're Blacker!

Someday, I'll be finished writing these little notations of sayings, Until then...well

oooooOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I'll blow out bubbles OOOOOOOOOoo..

What did the Pot and Kettle fail to see?

BEING BLACK IS BEAUTIFUL....
May peace be with you today... all day.

Great blog Miisrael, but I wanted to say that sometimes in life the only language some people understand is the language that they speak. What does this mean? I size up my opponents and although I know that its not good to call names, but sometimes depending on the circumstances ~~~ if the shoe fits~~~ then let the person wear it. It's not WWJD, but hey even he understood people have different ways of understanding.

However, people being judgemental of others when they themselves need to check their own front door before trying sweep around someone else's that's something entirely different. My relative made the comment about an African guy who had just started working at her place of employment that he had a B.O. (Body Odor) and I said to myself that some how make her better because she doesn't have B.O. but she's fat.

We all have issues that we need to take care of so my thing is someone else may have hygiene challenges, but you overeat and are killing yourself. Who's situation is better?

Terrific response Jen...I think if one would take time out before slinging back with argumentive words ...should try at least to be cautious to anaylze what the name calling is about. Issues can be case sensative with each person. We have to display construction criticism, tactful with calm explanations.... and I believe it's always helpful in love. Your example above displays an equal qualitative reaction. We all can use lessons in being better.
Smiles and Love.OOOOOOOOO.ooooo
Thanks

@ Brother Clark,
My relative totally forgot that she's huge with no excuse of having had a baby, being ill, or physical disabilities! I just excused myself from the conversation with her because she's younger and I don't think she knows any better. Besided that I didn't want to hurt her feelings, because I felt a whoop coming on to call her fat.
