RACHEL MADDOW TALKS SMACK ON LETTERMAN: Watch Her Eviscerate Fox ,August 3, 2010 (356 hits)

It's a pattern with Fox. They keep running these stories about -- for lack of a better phrase -- scary black people. About scary black people at the USDA discriminating against white farmers. And scary black people stopping white people from voting. And scary black people stealing the election. And scary black people trying to help pimps-- the whole ACORN scandal. There's this theme that they keep on.

LETTERMAN: How can we stop this kind of thing?

RM: You can't count on people who are unscrupulous to stop doing unscrupulous things.

I saw this show actually.

But I disagree with David Letterman when he said that Oreily doesnt believe in what hes saying sometimes because hes "smarter than that" or something. If he knew better he wouldnt say things he didnt believe in period.

That Letterman comment raised my eyebrow as well. I don't think he is all that smart. He shoots his mouth off before he has all the facts--the Sherrod case was only one instance--there are lots of instances of this.

Most of what he offers is his opinion that is not supported by facts or research.

Rachel, as usual, was classy astute and so right on.
