A new study just released indicates that 30% of all youth are experiencing hearing loss. The study conducted states that's including about 1 out of every 5 teens. Although the study is from hypothetically data that's been collected which aims that much of the loss of hearing may be caused by listening to extremely loud music close to the ear. The study said uses of earphones from of I-pods, and CD's turned up at more than 100 decimals can increase chances that could produce a deaf's ear. Doctors claimed that most youths have the volume up too loud and this is related as the causes and damages to the inner ear tissues. Usually once damaged the youth is left with permanent scaring and damage of the inner ear. This is irreverable and the result is hearing loss.
So, if your teen is saying...."What!?" instead of "Whatever!" then you may want to advice them to listen up and have a hearing test soon.
Here are a few signs to watch:
If you are constantly involved with them asking you repeat something.
Not responding to a whisper.
Turning up television or radio volume buttons
Not hearing you speak at a close range
Ask your child to turn it down if you can hear what they're listening to.
TAKE A TEST OF YOUR CHILD'S HEARING SOON..
"Can you that now!?" "I think his radio is big enough."
Bubbles are silent...mmmm.. nice.
