Did Someone Else Set You Up For Success? (1292 hits)

Every time you and I are successful, it's because of some one other than ourselves. People with an attitude of gratitude understand that. They know that it's never been "all up to them".
Many focused on the fact that God warned the nation of Israel before they entered the Promised Land.

"When you eat and are satisfied, when you build fine houses and settled down, and when your herds and flocks grow large and your silver and gold increase and all you have is multiplied... You may say to yourself, "My power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me." Deuteronomy 8:13,17 NIV

Then God went on to say that He was the one who had set them up to succeed and they should never forget it.
Now some might be skeptical of that, but think about it; the minute we are born, we are indebted to someone for nine months of room and board (Mom).

With a little effort, you can always discover the people to whom you are indebted. For example, if you're physically attractive, thank your parents. If you're educated,, thank your teachers and the taxpayers. If you're wealthy, thank the people who had enough faith in you to buy your product or to give you a job.

And if you're not all of the above, but alive and well-thank the plant life that produces the oxygen you breathe, and then thank the God of the universe who put them here in the first place.

Personally, I thank God for my Mother daily. Then there was my elementary teachers who always dropped a note of encouragement in my hand.
Then there was my life long girlfriend who accepted me for me and never tried to change me.

Next was my soul mate and my loving late husband Ben, who would simply say, "babe, you can do it."

"A person whose heart is filled with an Attitude of Gratitude understand that"I am indebted to someone else for every good thing I have."
