WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT IT? DOES EDDIE LONG DESERVE FORGIVING? (294 hits)

With Eddie Long being such a hot topic this week and all his accusers are ready to beat him down...do you think he deserve forgiveness by his followers or even religious leaders? It's relatively true he's been put under some uncondtional things not pertaining to what the Word teaches and preaches...Maybe he should do something on forgiving now? Will he wash his hands to start over?

Perhaps in this chastening he might change and mend his wayward temptations. Maybe some won't forgive, but if he asks God still forgives....

You got any thoughts on the matter? Afterall haven't we all did some things we are not to proud of?

I can only say it is between him and God, unless there are human laws involved. I haven't been following the story so I don't know.

Yes Adam, we really don't really know, but as you said it is between him and God. We apt to downtrod a person quickly who elevates in works of God, but if he was not in such a notable position sins like one he has been accused would go un-noticed-- and many of persons would think little about it. I think ones blessed with public religious positions should always be aware of what they are doing. This reflects on those who may want a relationship with God to be a little less likely to believe. Whatever the purpose of this involvement the message is in my opinion --we should be watchful of things we do in the dark and always do things in the light.

MAYBE, it is just me, but every time I see this forgive me, forgive areligious leader , it makes me think things like these on thismatter about how these 'forgive me, has gome to frogive them and not back to forgive me. example,

first Swagger(or what ever his namme was who got caught twice) used is own private media religious network as did Jim Baker to ask the public...then the Pope himself came all the way to America...and then the Jehovah witness had theri mass media time and now here we are again...ONLY IN AMERICA...

Personally I am not into this as I see these tings more of FORGIVE ME FOR BEING DUMB ENOUGH TO GET CAUGHT (with my pants down in public)and, if we were a forgiving or evne a Christian Nation then that execution of that female would not have occured in this state a few days ago...
