Rachel: Why do you think it passed?

Mr. Awad: The amendment resonated with a lot of voters who don’t know anything about Islam, who don’t know any Muslims. They only know what these politicians tell them. We already have a law that says Sharia Law won’t take over our courts—in fact, no religious law will take over our courts. It’s called THE FIRST AMENDMENT.
