A 69 year old woman may never want to see her bathroom again. At least she may not want to take a bathroom break without being cautious..... Living alone the woman went into her bathroom and to her surprise ...when"wouldn't you guessed it?" the door lock broke--And there for 20 days she was trapped inside without a window --and with no one to hear her calling out for help. The woman tapped on pipes for hours and hours every day , but her neighbors only became annoyed by it --and did nothing... until they noticed they had not seen or heard from their eldery neighborwoman. Finally, after so much tapping hearing her, they called the Fire Department who broke in her apartment and breaking open the bathroom door was she freed! The woman was very weak but; said she survived because there was access to tap water. The woman was hospitalized and is recovering. Her name has not been released due to privacy, of course.
At least she had a place to go pee!...
This I found Odd and true but a little scary for sole- living people..
Maybe there's a moral..
"When taking a bathroom break and all alone --
don't use the lock if no one else is home!"
