The demand is on for more relief effort to the country of Haiti. We hear the cry for food, medicine and clothing. What about schools ? What about colleges and universities. When will the people of haiti demand attention given to learning and the benefits of academia. They still rely of what Voodoo can provide along with the Europeans. Well, it is deja vous all over again.

Just like there is good and bad witchcraft, don't you think that there is good and bad voodoo. If people never learned the medical value of herbs, there wouldn't have been a need to invent medications.

Hello Jamal,
Since voodoo is on the shelf of divinity what divine entity told you that Haiti will continue to suffer until they abandon voodoo? What divine entity told you that Haiti's suffering is because of their involvement in voodoo? In other words, of what authority you claim to make these accusations about Haiti? Are you God envoy to Haiti?
It would appear to me that you are blowing smoke out of your rectum. Am I making any sense?

Helen...sure herbs are important in the world of medicine....but, that is only 1 of many brances of science. What about botany, ecology, entomology, physiology, engineering, chemistry, mechanics, architect, engineering...etc.
The people of Haiti have almost "zero" participation in the practical sciences...so it is no wonder they suffer.

When you say new world does that include all the races such as Chinese, Japanese and Caucasians you ought the father?
I ask because I know that God rose of prophets from their own kinds, which would mean that prophets are limited to their own race. However, in your case you are the father of all races in this new world, am I right.

Harry, Almighty God does NOT ordain something out of reason. As if He(God) has nothing better to do. So, this new world which is spoken is do to the kidnapping, ethnic cleansing and years of servitude exerted by America's once black slaves. The New World is for THEM. A covenent made by Almighty God long before you and I was that any new nation must come thru ABRAHAM since he was made the Father of many nations. Now that a new nation is on the horizon, my life on earth is exhibited. It is a new world to African Americans because the only world African Americans have known is in America being under the foot of the Europeans.

What is happening to Haiti has more to do with the economic embargoes that have been posed on them years and years ago when Haiti became the first African nation to revolt. Before the United States boycotted Haiti after they became an Independent nation, they were producers of cocco, sugar cane, an other goods. Just like today when the US does something, other countries follow and so Haiti has never recovered. Their religion you say is the reason, eh? You make me laugh Brother Jamal. Perhaps yo uand Pat Robertson need to get together and compare sermon notes!

There is a saying...so a person thinketh so is he. Any belief system parallels that which a person thinketh. Voodoo is not conducive to industrialization which is what the country of Haiti needs. Every nation, be they small or large have their own set of circumstances to tackle to survive. A tried and proven pathway most nations take is to start with organized law and order; followed by agriculture to feed your people combined with erection of schools. Graduates from the schools are to develop innovative ways of growing the economy be they in manufacturing, packaging, exports, mining, metal working, etc.
In voodoo, In Vodou, spirits are divided according to their nature in roughly two categories, whether they are hot or cool. Cool spirits fall under the Rada category, and hot spirits fall under the Petwo category. Rada spirits are familial and mostly come from Africa, Petwo spirits are mostly native to Haiti and are more demanding and require more attention to detail than the Rada, but both can be dangerous if angry or upset. Neither is "good" or "evil" in relation to the other. Thus, these invasive spirits has obviously impeded a sense of innovation in the people of the country. So JEN..you may be laughing....but, to the some 7 million people in Haiti that believe in this dominating cult...they are catching HELL. And they will continue.
