One of the greatest influences to unbelievers in our day is the Beastial system under whom we live. The Beast ffrom the sea [ Rev.13:1-10] is a demonized state. Paul said that the "spirit of lawlessness" was already at work in his day. This Beastial system is a demonic system which employs politicians and all others in high places, without their be conscience of it. It hovers over the earth like a gigantic octopus whose tentacles reach into every facet of life. Unbelieving leaders are pawns in this Beastial power and do and furthur its reach. All other unbelievers under the these world leaders serve to furthur their agenda which is the agenda of this Beastial system. In Rev. 13:11-18, the second beast from the earth, also called the false prophet, functions as a propagandist for the first Beast. It speaks thru every avenue of communication on earth - books, music, television, universities, magazines, etc., and is always speaking false words to deceive the masses. It speaks thru unbelievers who repeat what they have heard the false prophet say. The Beast is not one man, but encompasses all unbelievers thru which they furthur its agenda. So the false prophet is not a single man, but the mouthpiece of all who speak and propagate the message of the Beast. Behind the Beast is the dragon, satan and his entire demonic hoard. In Rev. 13:14-15 - the people on the earth are told to make an image to the Beast. He was granted power to give breath to the image of the Beast so that it spoke. This image is not a physical image, but an image unbelievers erect in their own minds, and because they breath, the image is said to breath. The "mark of the Beast" is to be received on the foreheads and hands, the forehead representing the thoughts and the hands the deeds. I will leave it here for now. This is the prominant influence which works thru every unbeliever in time past, but is culminating in these last days.
