A NEW YEAR'S BLAST KILLS 21 AT EGYPT CHRISTIAN CHURCH (1327 hits)

[Photo is not the actual scene of the blast]

The Coptic Christian Church gathered for an early Saturday morning mass only to discover that a bloody blast of a suicide bomber awaited them. The attack bomb exploded during the mass killed 21 members or attendees. Sources indicated that 80 worshippers were wounded. This attacked was in wake to threats by al-Qaida. Many Eqypt Christians have faced continued dangers from terriorists groups in that country. Tensions flew high in retropective anger as Christian youth and neighboring Saints hurled stones and were greeted with rubber bullets and tear gas. It was quoted that nearly 1,000 Christian followers were attending the New Year's Mass when the bomb exploded killing and wounding the those attending the ceremony. The scene described was said to bloody and bodies of the dead were separated over the building. Damaged to the building and vehicles were also reported. The total scene was described as a gory sight. The President Mubarak went on the country's television stated that he has vowed to find the terriorists and "cut off their hands." Christians reported chanting: "with our blood and soul we redeem the cross." Christians are outraged! The war continues between Muslims and Christians.

Let us all pray for peace in our differences.

you note above that you believe that a bomb blast went off and some CopticChristians were killed---ok

you also note above that President Mubarak will find the terrorists and cut off their hands.---ok

you also note that, "Tensions flew high in retropective anger as Christian youth and neighboring 'Saints' hurled stones and were greeted with rubber bullets and tear gas."----the Christian youth hurled stones at WHO? and WHO are the 'Saints'?----newOrleans---WHAT????????????

then YOU say, "The war continues between Muslims and Christians."

who is who?

is Mubarak a christian? are the terrorists, christians or Muslim?

I would have said, "a bomb blast went off in a Mass Gathering in Egypt, of those celebrating the paganChristian newYear. These copticChristians chanted, "with our blood and soul we redeem the cross." and hurled stones at Police who then fired rubber bullets to disperse the terrorising crowd of unLawful youth.

President Mubarak, the President of Egypt for over 30 years, declared, "we will Cut off the Hands" of the Murderers of my Egyptian copticChristian citizens.

Your version of events is Inflamatory and Bombastic, as No one has been accused or convicted of this crime in Egypt.

Is my Version Correct?

Addeumn:
Sources of the AP did not say if the sucide bomber was Christian or Muslim but that the Saints who were angry were be considered Christians and were also culpits of the demonstration. The sources I read did not convict anyone of a crime. As for my statement of the war between Christian and Muslim it has been truly observed there is much conflict among these two groups.

You are at liberty to formulate your own version of the story and make your own conclusions. Far better you are also at liberty to find and read the story for yourself.

Duly respected,

Jan 1 (Reuters) - Egypt's president said in a televised address on Saturday the bombing of a church that killed at least 17 people targetted both Christians and Muslims.

"Wicked terrorists targetted the nation, Copts and Muslims," President Hosni Mubarak said in the broadcast on state television, adding that the terrorists would fail in any plans to destabilise Egypt or divide Muslims and Christians.

Christians make up about 10 percent of the 79 million people in Muslim-majority Egypt. Officials are usually swift to play down incidents that could hurt relations between the two communities which sometimes flare into communal violence. (Writing by Edmund Blair; editing by Philippa Fletcher)

(Reuters) - Egypt said Saturday there were indications the bombing of a church in the northern city of Alexandria involved "foreign elements," the official news agency said.

The Interior Ministry said in a statement that the circumstances of the incident and other recent attacks, "clearly indicates that foreign elements undertook planning and execution."

A bombing in the Nigerian capital Abuja has killed at least 30 people and injured several more at a market inside a military barracks. Police say the blast occurred at the Sani Abacha barracks, where people had gathered to celebrate New Year's Eve on Friday night. Local journalists say injured people are being carried away from the scene.

"There was a bomb blast inside the Mammy market. The bomb exploded where people were eating and drinking," the civil defense corps chief for the capital, Rabi Saidu, told reporters.

Nigeria's military chief, Air Marshal Oluseyi Petirin, said, "It's unfortunate that some people planted a bomb where people were relaxing."

The cause of the explosion is not yet known, and no more details are available.PT

"The war continues between Muslims and Christians."

First--- the copticChristian Religion is one of the oldest if not the oldest way of life of IsaIbnMaryam.

Second---Mohamed(as) has said that these copticChristians are the same as his Believers, they and the ethiopianChristians have aided and helped Mohamed(as)

Third---copticChristian is NOT easternOrthodox Christian----is not europeanChristian or paganChristian.

Fourth----since they have been in the land of Egypt for 1900 years and have lived along side Muslims and have had the 'protection of the Mohamed(as)'

THE WHOLE PREMISE OF YOUR opinion of this Event is BOMBASTIC---

"some women are seeking division not brotherhood", or do not have proper Information, History or Scholarship of a subject to comment Irresponsibly--- "The war continues between Muslims and Christians."

SOME MEN CAN RANT ABOUT SCHOLARSHIP but dont have the proper knowledge to back it up just another blah blah blah (skŏl'ər-shĭp') pronunciation

the truth about knowledge is not just ranting and cpor and paste like you do knowledge is respect !Knowledge is defined by the Oxford English Dictionary as (i) expertise, and skills acquired by a person through experience or education; the theoretical or practical understanding of a subject; (ii) what is known in a particular field or in total; facts and information; or (iii) awareness or familiarity gained by experience of a fact or situation. Philosophical debates in general start with Plato's formulation of knowledge as "justified true belief."[citation needed] There is however no single agreed definition of knowledge presently, nor any prospect of one, and there remain numerous competing theories. Knowledge acquisition involves complex cognitive processes: perception, learning, communication, association and reasoning. The term knowledge is also used to mean the confident understanding of a subject with the ability to use it for a specific purpose if appropriate. See knowledge management for additional details on that discipline.

Peace?

the commentors besides me on YOUR blog subject have agreed with my initial observation of your false, "commentaryBlog" on an actual Real Event in Africa.

Miisrael your intentions may have been good with this "commentaryBlog".

I do not know.

do not offer your idea of "Peace" to Truth----be Responsible and APOLOGIZE for giving a False, no KNOWLEDGE misleading idea on a Real subject.

that is my issue with euroCentric paganChristian thinkers --- the "peace" of the paganChristian was to kidnap, Murder, RAPE, Confuse, and Demonize the African.

I DO NOT WANT paganPeace, I DO NOT WANT apeKnowledge.

The intention that I saw, was here is another FalseHood thought from a NO knowledge person condemning the Majority of Humanity.

i know it comes from you or the kkk, or paganChristians ---WITH the SAME thought as any other Racistist, unAmerican, Bigot....

Simple, Apologize.

Robert my intention is to always show good. Surely, you should know I have no spiteful behavior to hurt, scoff, or offend or condemn... but to love.

If I have been found guilty of offening you -- Gladly accept this offer of apology.
I seek to keep peace as part of my own humility.

Remember Robert, if I wrote anything misleading it was not due of my own doing, but according to the source I used. I did nothing falsely but my source was brief and did not contain all clues of the event. Do you think I knew if the information was false I would use it? In addition, actually with aid from additional information I discovered that many facets of my story were truly identical.
Kind-hearted Robert will you ask any more of me dearest?
Much love,

HONOLULU (AP) — President Barack Obama has condemned deadly New Year's Eve attacks in Egypt and Nigeria.

In a statement, Obama says the perpetrators of an attack on an Egyptian church have no respect for human life or dignity. He says those responsible for the bomb that killed at least 21 people must be brought to justice for "this barbaric and heinous act." The bombing enraged Christians in Egypt who often complain of discrimination at the hands of Egypt's Muslim majority.

Obama also says a separate attack near an army barracks in Abuja, Nigeria demonstrates the "bankrupt vision" of those who carry out the attacks. At least four people were killed and 21 wounded while celebrating the new year.

Obama says the U.S. will offer any necessary assistance to Egypt and Nigeria.

Muslims set fire overnight to at least 10 houses belonging to Coptic Christians in a southern Egypt village over rumors that a Christian resident had an affair with a Muslim girl, security officials said Tuesday. They said security forces sealed off the village of Al Nawahid in Qena Province, about 290 miles south of Cairo, to prevent the violence from spreading, and several people were arrested. The village was calm by nightfall, after religious leaders from both sides persuaded their followers to end the confrontation. Coptic Christians make up about 10 percent of Egypt’s population of 80 million. Coptic Christians and Muslims generally live in peace, though violence occasionally occurs in the south, mostly over disputes about land or church construction.

There were 360 idols around the Kaba. The pilgrimages to the Kaba were all pagan pilgrimages, the ritual processions around the Kaba were part of pagan beliefs and custom, the white robes worn by the pilgrims were from pagan faiths, the veneration of the Kaba and black stone are derived from pagan rituals and beliefs. Pagans called out the names of their pagan gods as they circled the Kaba, today, Muslims call out Allah's name. Pagans ran between the nearby hills, Muhammad authorized Muslims to do that in the Quran, and probably ran between the hills himself.

The chief pagan god worshipped there was Hubal, who could be called the god of Mecca and of the Kaba. Hubal is not mentioned in the Quran. The goddesses al-Lat, al-Uzza, and Manat were also worshipped there and are mentioned in the Quran.

It is thought that the Kaba was originally set up for astral worship. Golden suns and moons are repeatedly mentioned as the votive gifts. Some pagans regarded the Kaba as a temple devoted to the sun, moon, and 5 planets.
