The Queen's Chair: End of The World Is May 21 (426 hits)

This announcement upset me. A man in my hometown has announced that this is the day that we will cease to exist. This prediction is going to now get major ink and airtime on TV and radio. My "baby" asked me if this was true. I said "No."

I would have preferred to see stories that celebrate a facet of Black History Month. A family that overcame odds. Learn a Black History fact. Instead I'm forced to hear about this guy.Don't care how he knows this. Don't care. It's not like I'll be booking a flight out. Where am I going?

I don't know why time will be wasted on this story, but anything to deter the minds of young kids just is NOT good. Media professionals, I know ratings are important, but this is a story you could have repackaged.

Don't shoot the messenger. I couldn't believe this made it on air. It's crazy stuff like this that actually makes the news. Won't even tell you about the rooster story. Lawd, Lawd, Lawd.

My older sister, who has spent every months in the mental wards, is constantly talking about the world ending. It's had to relate to someone whose thoughts are out of contact with reality. I can remember her first nervous breakdown was after her divorce over thirty years ago. Her doctor told her to leave the bible along because she was mis-interrupting it. She didn't follow doctors orders and has been in and out of the mental hospital all these years.

Is this prediction the one based on the Mayan Calendar? I thought that was in 2012???

@ Jen: No. This was based on someone in Upstate New York who claimed he had proof. The story has since faded away.
