UNITED NATIONS (AP) - The U.N. Security Council has approved a no-fly zone over Libya and authorized "all necessary measures" to protect civilians from attacks by Moammar Gadhafi's forces.

The vote late Thursday was 10-0 with five abstentions, including Russia and China.

The United States, France and Britain pushed for speedy approval because Gadhafi's forces are advancing toward opposition-held Benghazi. The Libyan leader vowed Thursday night to oust the rebels from their eastern stronghold.

French Prime Minister Francois Fillon said if the resolution was approved, France would support military action against Gadhafi within hours. The U.S. said it was preparing for action.

America may be a running joke or they maybe wrong for not acting like the last administration...but "I" chant (pray) that Israel is not laughing because China and Russia did not use their veto powers to have been able to put a stop to this vote being able to be carried out...

because...

not only is our nation broke Israel is going to(as it has been lately) be able to get less and less money from our government and since we need our own military materials this means less for Israel from us also. (smile)

I also wonder if China did not stop this latest war because it is going to get them more loans to all fighting in it plus INTEREST and not one Chinese or Russian life lost?????????????????? I know it does make sense to me (DISPITE) expecially since I have a child in the Navy. (NUP!!!!)
