American-Venezuelan lawyer, Eva Golinger says she has a document that proves Washington has indeed plans to subvert Venezuela and Libya because of their huge oil and gas resources. She told Press TV in an exclusive interview that the document includes a map that gives specific directions and targets.
According to Golinger, the US government has been pursuing the so-called 'irregular warfare' strategies of subversion, penetration and infiltration in places that hold strategic energy resources.
Golinger goes on to warn that the new agenda for Washington is to highjack the ongoing revolutions in the Arab world and North Africa in order to institute friendly regimes and secure its long-term interests.
But the US has also been making its military presence felt in other places such as Latin America. One major goal, for instance, is to topple the government of Chavez in Venezuela by stopping him from winning the next presidential race in 2012.
While rampant crime, inflation and other problems have eroded his poll ratings, surveys suggest Chavez remains the country's most popular politician. If re-elected for a third time, he would stay in office for another six-year term.
