NATIONAL NEWS:
MARCH 2011
30th Day
Be Alerted!....
Spreading rapidly is a deadly bacteria called CRKP which has made it's way across at least 35 states across the U.S. CKRP (Carbapenem-Resistant Kiebsiella pneumonia) so far has no known cure and is not responding to any treatment with antibotics. This fast spreading contagion is being called a "Superbug" was orginally discovered in the south east U.S. and followed throughout the New Enland region. The dangerous bug has preyed on mostly weaker patients whom were already hospitalized for example oncology, elderly or nursing homes patrons. Since the cure is null --the death rate is around 40% effecting many victims above 70 years of age.

Since the spread of the disease has been detected through direct contact it is recommended to avoid touching those who are at high risk or whom have contacted the "Superbug" Recent concerns has been to alert the general public the bacteria has spread, and is spreading now at an increasing rate; but is not yet classified as epidemic. Until there is a cure it is best to keep calm and wash hands often. There is not much research being done, so be adviced to steer clear as much as possible from those infected with CKRP sufferers is highly suggested.

"WOW! Don't panic...just be careful and take good care of YOU.

Jake the report I read stated this germ has a strong resistance to Merepenem as well as other antibotics used to zone in for a cure...and has shown to be immune to it's active source of anti germ fighting approach. This makes it more difficult to cure the bacteria in the bloodstream and often patients are dying. I agree, new research is badly needed. Since this germ killer can be a real threat to more patients and sooner or later even the general safety of the public I feel researchers will need to respond immediately. Great comment.
